Telegraph: Levy’s The Delay

By The Boy -

Perhaps the Telegraph have an agenda against Levy? Yeah that’ll be it!

Today’s Telegraph say that Barkley is a key target for Pochettino and that the delay in a deal being done is that our beloved chair-thing Daniel Levy is waiting for Everton to drop their asking price.

It is of note that Matt Law also ignores recent Mirror nonsense about a supposed £150,000 a week DEMAND. In fact, Law believes that both Manchester United and Chelsea are keeping any eye on this never-ending impasse as they would be able offer Ross the £100,000 a week that it would take to get him to sign.

What we’re witnessing in slow-motion is a process that puts increasing pressure on Barkley to be an instant hit. An all too believable scenario is that we snatch him on deadline day, he has no preseason and takes a while to find his feet. While Spurs fans start grumbling that he wasn’t worth waiting for.

Elsewhere well run football clubs are (you may wish to it down whilst reading this next bit) buying players with relative ease.
