Team vs. Blue Racists

By The Boy -

Should Spurs either lose or draw this evening, then Leicester City will have won the Premier League.

I should hastily add that it won’t be our fault if the Foxes get to lift the trophy early.

The league isn’t a knockout competition, and City had previously earned 77 points from playing 36 games before we had even stepped out on the racist turf at Second Hand Fridge.

Who is unavailable for us?

Well Nabil Bentaleb is nursing a knee injury, which I am reliably advised will heal up in time for the summer transfer window.

Eric Dier suffered from concussion after our 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion, but his due back date with Physioroom.com is today.

Dele Alli is doing solitary in Belmarsh.

Here are Poch’s latest words of wisdom…

Incidentally Poch joins fellow illeism sufferers Julius Caesar, Shaquille O’Neal , Pele, Flava Flav, Andre Agassi, Floyd Mayweather Jr and Sesame Street’s Elmo who also all refer to themselves in the third person.

“I think it is important for the players and the potential players that will come that they don’t hear rumours about whether Pochettino will be here or not. I think that is very important. We are ready to compete in the market and try to add the players that can help us in the future. Not that we need much because we have a good squad already.”

“I did not need assurances. I didn’t ask for anything,”

“In the moment that the president wanted to extend my contract he showed his ambition. The players are very happy here. I want to be involved in the future of the club.”

“We spoke before with (assistant head coach) Jesus (Perez) and the staff,” said Pochettino, speaking before Leicester’s game against Manchester United.

“It is always difficult at the end of a season because of the fatigue – not only physical but mental – but the way we train every day, sometimes we have to stop them because it is too much.

“The motivation is massive. If I can help with my new contract and if Leicester drop points on Sunday I think it is welcome. But either way our players our very, very motivated to play on Monday against Chelsea.”

Who is unavailable for them?

John Terry has calf/shin injury which sadly shoes no sign of gangrene and his return date is today.

Gary Cahill is also due back today after ‘illness’.

Such is the frankly deranged analysis of the Premier League teams this season, Chelsea have been branded as ‘improved’, and whilst they have climbed to the loft heights of 10th in the Premier League, their form still stinks the place out.

In the League Form Table, they are actually 11th.

If we look at their goal difference, the real stinger is that it’s in single figures.

+7 compared to Spurs’ +39.

The Blues have scored quite a few +53, but they have conceded +46; which is obviously the root cause of what must surely be Roman’s worst season since he landed his helicopter.

Basing a prediction purely upon form – and not dwelling upon the ‘ancient spells of gypsies’ business of Chelsea being really really determined to thwart us at all costs – Spurs ought to win this 3-1 or 3-2.

Unless I’ve missed it of course, one issue in particular I find curious this season, is that whilst we are reminded every game that the Manchester City players may be ‘effected’ by the fact that they know that Pep is on his way, Chelsea players are in precisely the same boat.

I’m indifferent to Man City, but I’d put the rent on Chelsea being riddled with scum who’d leap upon any opportunity not to simply not bother.

Son hasn’t proven himself to be any way near reliable enough, let alone for a game of this importance.

My enthusiasm for Chadli has ebbed away pretty much every time he has played.

The loss of Alli has hurt us.
