Stadium Titbits

By The Boy -

Refurbished and entirely new stadia now have significant hospitality, which is moving away from traditional boxes like you see at Wembley – it’s more about big lounges, where you can have fine dining before a match.

Wembley holds 90,000 spectators. Only 15 per cent of those are premium spectators, but they generate over 80 per cent of the stadium revenue. The New Destination™ will have 8,000 ‘premium’ client reference numbers.

The roof at the New Destination™ is costing £20million alone.

Hilton have submitted a bid to operate a hotel facility.

HSBC, Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch will provide almost half of the money required to complete the £800 million+ rebuilding of White Hart Lane.

The rest of the funding will come from advanced ticket sales, a ten-year ground rental arrangement with the NFL and a possible naming-rights deal. Still no news on a stadium sponsor, however Glad says ‘you have no idea how complicated Daniel is seeking to make this.’
