Tottenham Hotspur host Leicester City in matchday 26 of the Premier League on Sunday 10th February, 1:30pm at Wembley Stadium.
The hosts currently sit in 3rd place in the table having beaten Newcastle United 1-0 last time out, while the visitors are in 12th after their 0-1 loss against Manchester United.
Redknapp’s ghost Tottenham have set a new Premier League record of going 29 Premier League games without a single draw. The last top-flight team to have a longer run were Portsmouth between March 1928-February 1929 (38 games).
SPURS XI Lloris (C), Trippier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Rose, Winks, Sissoko, Skipp, Eriksen, Son, Llorente.
Full side below?
Goals on demand Over the course of their previous 20 Premier League matches, Mauricio Pochettino’s men have scored at a rate of over two goals per game. What’s more, a minimum of three goals have been netted in six of their last eight fixtures at this level.
Early Spurs strike? Leicester have a significant problem when it comes to conceding first, doing so nine times in their most recent 11 Premier League games. Tottenham, by way of contrast, have gone 1-0 up in six of their last eight top-flight fixtures at Wembley.
Wasn’t hard, their defence was garbage last season. I wonder what Poch could do with 200m?
who having had the financial backing from the Board has tightened their Defence!
Why disrespectful? If I was manager and we eaten Arse with the last kick of the game I would have run on the pitch to celebrate with the players. Quirky Klopp is a passionate guy endearing himself to the Liverpool fans. I like that.
Each to their own, Klopp isn’t on the same planet as Poch if you ask me.
Klopp is under far more pressure to win something than Poch.
Because I feel he is overrated and if he had to operate under the clowns that own Spurs Like Poch does, that he would fare significantly worse.
Plus he annoys me running doing things like running onto the pitch like a big kid, as he did against Everton. It’s disrespectful of the opposition and all about projecting an image of himself. Bit of a clown really.
– Full backs not good enough
– Need a creative midfielder
– Adding pace to the flanks
-Quality back up striker.
Any team that lost that many fixtures would be in the shit, have you seen anything to suggest that Spurs would?
Having recruited wisely why condemn Klopp?
Also, Arsenal aren’t up to much are they? They really are quite shit…
It will be close but with DeBruyne getting sharper with every game you sense that Citeh’s petrodollar juggernaut is back on track.
Tough to call but I can easily see Liverpool being reeled in, the pressure might prove just too much for the Klopp hype machine…
You say that but should we lose to Burnley, Chelski, Arse, Spammers, Citeh and Liverpool + other fixtures that could bring Arse and Chelski back into the reckoning.
Keep him fresh for the Dortmund awakening 😉
Exactly
Everton away
Lucky for us they’re so shit
You say a couple of quality additions. I say more!
I know, it’s absolutely infuriating.
HH recommended that bar a few years ago when I came over for the first time. Didnt disappoint
That would make sense so poch won’t do it
When we flogged Chelsea
strange sub again…why keep Son on
We probably got a free kick or two that day
Whilst Spurs are clearly in the box seat for a top 4 spot IMO lets see what happens at the end of the season when seemingly moi of little faith having not been the only poster to have questioned our top 4 credentials especially as we have some tough fixtures ahead.
Haha. Ya Antwerp, great place. Have a few funny stories from there.
Had we signed a couple of quality players in the summer we would finish above Liverpool and run Citeh very close, possibly win it.
However, we are run by cunts…
Brave man!
As stated as Liverpool have a game in hand that could be crucial in the final reckoning.
Woolwich look about as ‘resurgent’ as Pompei right now…
Him or Sissy? He looked good and to think GKN went to them. If he had the choice between us or them, why would he bother going there.
UnFukinBelievable.
Eet ess soo ard for os to geet da righhyt playeerss.🙄🙄🙄
The antwerp. The community owned pub that does great work in the community. I never spent a penny at Wembley earlier though I did do a piss.
Warning others against jumping to premature conclusions dilly?
Manure have done too much faltering already and Cheatski are now out faltering everyone. We would have to seriously implode Chav-style to miss out now, still have Kane & Alli to return too.
Woolwich are pitifully off the pace…
1.Citeh
2.Liverpool
3.Spurs
4.Manure
Put your house on it…
Easty:-
1. Significantly Liverpool have a game in hand when too close to call the title race currently looks like it is going down to the wire.
2. Equally should Spurs falter the fight for Top 4 spot could go down to the wire.
The fans have been treated poorly to be fair. I’ll still be coming over the pond for my yearly trip but like you said in an early post. Other then my ticket, wont pay a cent inside the stadium. I’ll spend my money going to atwerps & bricklayers. Always manage a good time even if it’s not on match day.
Could handle all of them if fans could be bothered to come support the f u c k I n g team. Season ticket holders getting their £52 back and coating off the f u c k I n g suits on the internet. Best fans in the world my arse. Not even all the community tickets are being used. Its embarrassing. As I said I feel sorry for the poch and the boys.
I would take no pleasure in your wrongness, but do you think we’ll blow top 4 and Liverpool will win the title?
In fairness looking at our bench before the match it looked pretty thread bare for anyone to fill the role skipp was given to do apart from a half fit wanyama who only just recently come back from injury, non else.
It was:-
1. Liverpool
2. Citeh
3. Chelski
4. Manure
Compared to our rather pedestrian approach play watching both Citeh and Liverpool moving the ball quicker at a higher tempo play sexy swagger football is what we use to do for a time under Arry Redshanpps!
Yep: Expect the Lampard / Terry axis shortly!
Incidentally, Tappaspur, while you’re there, I wasn’t meaning to imply that we would only get 2 points from the five upcoming fixtures that I highlighted (viz. away games at Liverpool, City, Chelski and home ones against Hammers and the Foxes), but simply to point out the potential hazards and low returns from these games. Thinking about it on your basis, I think I would have suggested a possible return of just 4 points and not above 8 in any case. Now, with a victory (albeit a rather fortuitous one) against Leicester, 4 , hopefully, looks a little pessimistic. To win three of these games, we would be doing very well and to win four would be astounding … and, alas, highly improbable!
Like AIDS
He does it in every tight game
Tielemans didn’t look like the deadbeat loser that we shouldn’t have gone near today…
Some truth in that, but while Dortmund will probably give us a right going over if we repeat this afternoon’s performance, I think for a floodlit European game there will be a more charged atmosphere and that may help us to put in a much better performance.
Was 9/11 an inside job?
Currently a tad premature to jump to conclusions yet, but naturally I am always happy to eat humble pie again if that makes you happy!!
Just the offsides
The way they pulled every penny from st holders was criminal. Renew at Wembley or loose your place. I really hate enic
Just saw Vardy come off the bench to take the ball off the Penalty taker to miss….nothing untoward there then. How did I know who missed it?
Could you post your predicted top 4 again please DD?
Moura for Son
Yet in domestic cups……ineffective and lose. Hmmmm.
Not 1 freekick all half
-s
We let Dier take ours…. Joke
IMO Skipp ought to have either not been selected or withdrawn at HT!
Today highlighted our weakness in the middle, liecester past as by like a knife trough butter, winks and tripp 2 featherweights against leicesters bantamweights, not hard to see who has the bigger punch DD yet we could’v done with any of those 3 brooks maddi and yes even grealish at this point in time but as so offten hear from our supremos we need to find the rite players, i wonder who could it be.
Well, that saves 100m quid
The fat injury loving bastard
After heavy defeat against Bournmouth last time Sari kept his players in the dressing room locked behind closed doors for 45 mins!
—worse and departed a pub in Stratford Upon Avon long before rhe end.
Indeed. They are crazy good. Wanted to gloat then bothered to look up the last time we lost 6-0. 2013 vs city………. I’ll quietly enjoy today
David Brookes, Maddison and Grealish all passed us by!
Or even FARE!
😃
Traitorous wretch!
Thought my eyes were deceiving me!
Not that there’s anything wrong with a bit of spasming on a mans back
The aspiration is apparently James Maddison .. a next level aspiration.
There’s room for both in the top 4. Utd 3rd ENIC 4th
This one not a yellow
watching us most of this season is like watching a relegation game where we hold on tight for 3 points…
Haha fuck knows how we’re third
We’re gonna win the league!
There is a hole in the middle of our team I can’t stand it. It just passes us by.
Let’s see how they react. Where is the leader? Fakinel he’s in goal.
Sanchez asleep
Will we learn from past matches? How to close one out? At least they keep it interesting.
We desperately, desperately need a top class central midfielder to boss games. God knows it’s not Dier. Winks needs one. It ain’t Sissoko. It ain’t Skipp.
Agreed
I think Liverpool will puncture their winning streak or draw.
Llorente lay-offs remind me of Hendrik Larsson….simple …but deadly
Beating Chelsea early on
Draw looks likely
mentally very poor..
This remind me of our 3 -2 win at the Gooners a few years back. We do not have any cop on.
Probably up on a charge of Post It note theft from Levy.
Looks like a diamond
Back spasm (allegedly)
Toby hasn’t been a good fit for Levy since he had the cheek to ask to be paid a wage commensurate with his ability.
Oliver used to be good for us. Booked son for diving against Chelsea as well. Chump.
It would be rather churlish of us to ruin Man Utd’s miraculous title charge ..
Painful watching again
Ineffective yet winning. What a groundhog day. They must get their gold!
Benny hill goal keeping
Aguero’s wonder strike , after he missed a sitter, was the Death Blow.
In my piece below on “How does Poch do it?”, that’s another disadvantage he and the team are labouring under that I forgot to mention, that of playing all our home games at Wembley.
A 1 nil win is not the worst result but you sense we require a minimum 2 nil advantage to boost our chances of progressing to the last 8!
After another heavy tonking Sari is probably already resigned to his fate!
Hopefully we fair better!!
6 v 0 Citeh
Interestingly the last time we played Liverpool on Mother’s Day we conceded a goal after 1 mins when Kabool scored an own goal. It got
