Contrary to the whole dumb dumb ‘Levy Time’ thing, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is not just active at the death of transfer windows.

Think Glenn Gary Glenn Ross. ABC. Always Be Closing. And of course loads of sh*t leads. We may not have a big trophy cabinet but if you ever order the Rasiak Ribeye at the New Destination™ you won’t have to take your own wood inlayed steak knife in, let me tell you.

Saul Niguez was the name in the frame.

The 22 year old Atletico Madrid star was a Poch pick, however Gladys believes that his Spanish owners’ valuation was not only sky high, but there was also said to be an insanely inflated release clause.

Niguez is enjoying his fourth season at Atletico and thought to be a Diego Simeone favourite.

I seem to recall this fella signed a 9 year contract in the summer. Would be very surprised if we got anywhere near him.
    He is rather bloody good

9 yr contract is a signal he has no intent to leave either. For as much as he would be good (if Spanish leagues could be used to gauge anything of value) its nice to see a player willing to commit his future…either that or both club and player have realised contracts are fictitious used to bump up a sale price and due to the bosman rule, if you have a player that is even 50% going to make it, nail him down for a decade so you can at least sell him.
