Spurs’ 5 Top Transfer Targets

By The Boy -

Finishing second in the Premier League was all that it took for media outlets to shoehorn Tottenham’s name into at least twice as many transfer rumours than normal.

With nigh on two decades at the helm, Levy is a known quantity and it’s of note that very few players linked with Spurs are outside the established financial comfort zone.

The problem Spurs have is that there doesn’t appear to be any money in the the THFC biscuit tin beyond the usual man-draw oddments of IOUs, some drachma notes and an assortment of coins, some with holes in, some bearing bite marks.

Worse yet, the forecast is an even greater enforced bout of austerity than normal; the THFC cocoa jar that should have had money to redevelop the stadium was found to contain a dried out fountain pen cartridge, a poppy day poppy (with the black bit in the middle missing) and some petty cash receipts signed ‘H Redknapp’ for £324,004.82p.

The rule of the day is modesty, which is a dangerous strategy when one considers just how wafer thin the Spurs squad is whilst facing a minimum of four competitions.

Here are our top five targets…

Fulham’s wonder-kid Ryan Sessegnon is said to be a done deal, some bookmakers suspended betting on a move to Spurs weeks ago.

The 17 year old left back would probably be a decent prospect for the future.

Thomas Lemar has been ‘heavily tipped’ to join Spurs, A doctored picture of Lemar in a Spurs shirt, posted on Instagram, was liked by his Monaco team mate Djibril Sidibe, and that got every excited.

Lemar is also supposedly wanted by any number of other Premier League sides.

Only yesterday The Metro ran with ‘Tottenham have reportedly cooled their interest in sealing the transfer of Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, which could put Arsenal in pole position.’

Levy strikes again?

Josh King ‘terms agreed’ screamed Gladys and then Levy went back to his scale model of Newgate Debtor’s Gaol made from matchsticks.

Has this 25 year old Colombian had his day?

Or at just £12million is he not to be sniffed at?
