Pochettino has a tough summer ahead of him.

If the jungle drums are to be believed then there is just enough volatility in the Spurs squad to leave him scuppered for next season.

There’s not a philosophy on the world that works if you keeping losing people.

Dig up any dead dictator and ask them.

Is Pochettino a good manager? Undoubtedly.

Is Pochettino a great manager?

We would need him supplied with the right resources, before we might be able to judge for sure.

Spurs have gone from having a respectable season to mounting a face saving exercise in the space of a fortnight.

Here’s this week’s vloggins.

    Won 13

We have lost 3 out of the last 4 home games v Newcastle

We have played Leicester 13 times at home since the Prem started
    Lost 5

If you think back to this time last year we were dreading the thought of playing at Wembley this season and rightly so based on previous…and yet we slew that dragon pretty quickly…having said that the last few weeks have been pretty disturbing.

Pooch has been found out too many times this year, he’s started to believe the tabloid BS about the sun shining out his A hole, even writing a book FFS about how to achieve diddly squat.

Yes, he hasn’t had the money, blah, blah, blah, but he decided to be Levys poodle sometime back, and it’ll never cover up his glaring tactical weaknesses especially when up against genuine CL teams. Too many bizarre late subs from a weak bench hasn’t impressed.

As for the team, well Kane is unfit, obsessed about the Golden Boot bollocks and with his mind on the WC, the same possibly for Son and Erickson who seem to be avoiding any serious commitment.

If they don’t play these last two games like life depends on it then it’s a fucking shame on them all frankly, it’ll be a disgraceful end to the season.

Something;s put the Willies up them. They haven’t played the same since we beat Chelsea 3-1.

I think it’s quite simple, as much as it pains me to say it but just how many trophy less seasons can you go and still hold it together, the agents will be breathing down the necks of our best players uttering the words – “Now it will be a lot simpler if you don’t get top four, then you can say I MUST HAVE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL” cue the last post and make your way to the exit door marked Real Madrid. We build a great team just short of being able to compete, showcase our talent, Levy rubber stamps the transfer and the profit machine rolls on. Mr Lewis smiling all the way to the bank.

Levy = business first – football club second.

It seems poch is feeling betrayed by some of his players with his philosophy (inc him planning to be with us for at least his contract length). But Rose stung him at the start of the season , then he’s had Toby, walker telling everyone dier wanted a Man U transfer and the Dembele who he was bigging up saying he will wait until the summer to decide his future. These are (I’m guessing ) taken personally by poch, it may also have caused a division in the squad which Poch who should be at present heavily planning for next season seems unsure in what to do, which could explain the irrational out burst of ‘another manager’ and the teams current performance on and off the pitch.

It’ll be interesting to see if the team can be bothered against Newcastle and Leicester – two teams we have ‘previous’ with.

If we finish outside the CL places it has to be viewed as a meltdown and a very disappointing season, which is crazy given some of the teams we have beaten, including the two CL finalists.

If it’s Europa next season I honestly believe we will loose more than just Rose and Toby. If so, then why not just get shot of Kane, Eriksen and Alli and pay off the stadium seeing as that is the main goal for ENIC.

At least they may then sell up and we get in an owner that views winning stuff – even if it’s the little old FA cup – as an achievement and something that players and fans would actually like to see happen.

I think that poch will walk if we don’t secure top four.
He will go and our best players will be looking to move on. He has done a very good job, despite having to deal with enic’s penny pinching. Obviously we want top three/four and should we get in the cl again, he should tell levy to stick it if he doesn’t get the players he wants.
Have to add that poch doesn’t help himself with the lamela instead of moura choice. Also, the substitutions are made rather too late to affect a game.

Poch has been good for the club and more importantly Levy, but he seems stubborn and more of a top coach, average Manager type.

The table won’t lie…its still in our hands but we are jettisoning nose first to ground based on present form..2 games that should not have caused a visit to the chemist for a 180 minute supply of Imodium!

  • Tappaspur May 6, 2018 at 7:51 pm

From £2.50 to £7.30 for that cheap shitty cider in Scotland. (White lightning and alike. Expect more scots in london 🙂 🙂

The way I see it is that there were a very tough run of fixtures we picked points up in Utd and Woolworths at home, Liverpool away.

We then beat Chavs at the Fridge to make the whole top 4 thing real.

Gutting to lose to WBA at this stage but we wouldn’t even be in this position without some very good results against those around us.

Last season was all about not doing well enough against the other top six clubs, had we not improved those stats then we’d be out of the top 4 discussion a couple of months ago.

‘Naughty Poch’ for losing to WBA but ‘good Poch’ for all the big results before.

It’s about a whole season, people need to calm down a bit. Hopefully we’ll still do it…

  • HerveDeNerve May 6, 2018 at 7:42 pm

All this bollox started with Kane claiming “that” goal. Is he playing for himself or the team? As for Poch, he’s just a bit better than Jol & Redschnapps.

Doomsday scenario is coming….Europa League and no way will that spaceship be ready on time for lift off…another season in HA9….

    • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 7:47 pm

Thanks for that pearl of wisdom…

      • HerveDeNerve May 6, 2018 at 7:57 pm

It’s not “wisdom”…it’s an “opinion” now fuck off

        • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 8:01 pm

You’re right it isn’t wisdom. Now you fuck off.

  • Tappaspur May 6, 2018 at 7:40 pm

6 points. 2 clean sheets. You watch. Coys

    • Accy May 6, 2018 at 8:22 pm

  • East Stand May 6, 2018 at 7:38 pm

  • Dino May 6, 2018 at 7:37 pm

Its looking like either Liverpool or Us will finish 5th…..would be the worst capitulation for either club were that to happen!
