An ITK reported on Spurs Community believes that Ryan Mason is Bournemouth bound.

Top table
He’s already been replaced. No idea who.

The phrase ‘top table’ makes me cringe. Let me share that with you, before we go anywhere.

I’m well aware of the undercurrent of discontent that has been churning in Mason’s direction.

But what grates more than silly phrases, are stoopid sentiments.

You get a complete no hoper like Clinton Cards and we’re told he needs time because Poch has seen something in him.

The only thing in him that might increase his value at this stage is to discover he wasn’t really a football transfer, but Joe was using him to bring blood diamonds into the country.

Tom Carroll has been floating around looking like a bouncer at LegoLand for far too long.

Yet he’s still hailed as the new Modric on some quarters.

Ryan Mason isn’t the finished article, that’s not up for debate.

So how long does your average fringe squad player get these days?

It strikes me you get all the time in the world …if you’re an instant success.

Which is to say there is no rhyme or reason when it comes to assessing how long players get.

Mason stepped into the 2014/15 season for a newbie got a comparatively heavy workload.

It wouldn’t be unfair to say that Poch gave the 24-year old too much game time, given the fact he was filling in, opposed to screaming to go straight into the first team – like Delle Ali did.

This season, Mason’s had his game time cut by what, two thirds? Yet he’s been slated for not doing enough.

I cannot see into the future, no do I have a good gut feeling about Ryan.

What I do see is tangible stuff.

Specifically, a player who is straight out of the same mould that many of Poch’s charges at Southampton were.

Perhaps Poch is actually awash with regret he ever gave the lad from Enfield a second chance.

Perhaps I’m just a gigantic racist.
