Frank de Boer’s in the brown smelly stuff after guiding Crystal Palace to theirΒ fourth straight Premier League defeat at Burnley.Β “I am just focusing on what I can control and so are my staff and my players. (The future) is for other people to decide but while I’m the manager of Crystal Palace I will give 100 per cent.”

I caught a little bit of the game and his problem is that his team looks like it’s full of players nobody else wanted.

De Boer shouldn’t have signed for the Eagles. What he should have done after seeing who Steve Parrish had on his books was quote Wayne Rooney after 8 hours on the lash, ‘Are your tits real?’

Newcastle and Swansea blundered about for an hour and a half and eventually the Barcodes snatched a point. Rafa was too poorly to travel but Gladys tells me that the rotund Spaniard has been already been sounded out by West Ham…

That’s tonight’s game and it could well be a must watch affair. Huddersfield are unbeaten so far whereas the Primark Massive have lost every game so far. Town’s manager David Wagner won August’s Manager Of The Month.

Whereas Slavan Bilic said: “My job is to raise the performance. We didn’t start well but Monday is a good opportunity to start winning games and get on the right tracks.”

Gus Poyet available, resigned today from Shanghai Shenhua!

Poyet is flying to Croydon aerodrome as we speak… He’ll have to jump with a parachute. Or without.

Interestingly, FDB’s wiki page has this entry:

“In August 2016, he was appointed as manager of Internazionale, replacing Roberto Mancini, before being dismissed approximately three months later. In June 2017 he was appointed manager of English club Crystal Palace, before again being dismissed around three months later.[5]”

So, according to wiki, he’s already been dismissed!

  • Northstand Nutter September 11, 2017 at 1:08 pm

Massively overrated. One game in ten he will do well. Not the same class as Mane or Sallah.

    • Northstand Nutter September 11, 2017 at 1:09 pm

      Saha that is.
Woy too come to think of it…

  • SpurAndy πŸ’Ο€ September 11, 2017 at 12:59 pm

Well I for one look forward to hearing Woy’s dulcet tones and see his hang the dog expression on the sidelines.

  • Hartley September 11, 2017 at 12:36 pm

The moment Woy was told that one day he would manage Crystal Palace…

De Boer was an up and coming manager. He should have seen through that squad. Even I as a useless manager could see they would struggle. However, not that much! I think he has to take some blame because he should have made them hard to beat at the least.

    • ronwol196061πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ September 11, 2017 at 12:43 pm

He has managed in Holland where development is key.
So would he not have asked about that and their intentions?
      He must of,surely.

  • Camus September 11, 2017 at 12:30 pm

An all-round mess. A sacking after 4 games is pretty crazy but I think he was mistaken to take the job anyway – not a great squad.

Who will hire De Boer now?

    • caveman September 11, 2017 at 12:33 pm

If we understand that he was very hard done by, there will be plenty of clubs that will see that also and plenty of offers on the table. You don’t become a bad manager overnight, but bad employers can make it look that way.

      • Horndog September 11, 2017 at 12:35 pm

Correct, Steve Parrish is the new Levy, pre Poch.

  • caveman September 11, 2017 at 12:19 pm

Gus Poyet available, resigned today from Shanghai Shenhua!

  • mattspurs September 11, 2017 at 12:17 pm

Palace’s squad isn’t that bad but trying to transform a Big Sam team into a passing team overnight is never going to happen.

That said after his spell at Inter and now at Palace it looks like we really dodged a bullet. Boy did we luck out with Poch.

  • UnkleTaff September 11, 2017 at 12:13 pm

“It’s a terrible start but we have to stick together.”
    Steve Parrish, yesterday

    Crazy decision. Absolutely crazy.

    • Horndog September 11, 2017 at 12:28 pm

….and Palace to solve their woes with Woy?….potentially?…..that’s crazy.

  • Dancingbarber September 11, 2017 at 12:07 pm

So Daniel will be on the phone in January to rescue Zaha. He and Barkley will freshen us up for the push to get the PL and CL titles.

    • Harry Hotspur September 11, 2017 at 12:30 pm

Can we not just let the Zaha thing go?

He really is shit. If he wasn’t shit, how come he was vomited out by MUFC and ended up at Palace?

My considered view is that this is due to his shitness.

      • Horndog September 11, 2017 at 12:33 pm

        πŸ’© yep πŸ’©

      • UnkleTaff September 11, 2017 at 12:54 pm

        Ferguson took Zaha to Utd.

        Moyes let him go.

        ‘Nuff said.

      • ronwol196061πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ September 11, 2017 at 12:59 pm

        Zaha has talent no doubt
He would be a good sub for Eriksen or Dele (Son also covers for Dele)

        • UnkleTaff September 11, 2017 at 1:01 pm

Zaha would make a cracking addition to our squad. I would say that Sissoko has four months to prove his worth. If he doesn’t I can see Zaha replacing him in January.

          • SpurAndy πŸ’Ο€ September 11, 2017 at 1:14 pm

I would have Zaha. We need someone one with skill and some unpredictability to open up defences. I’d still have Mahrez as a first choice though.

            100%

  • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? September 11, 2017 at 11:59 am

4 games. Frank De Boer gone. Football is beyond help. 4…..games. Maybe the chairman should look at Scott Dan failing to score from 3 yards out and Bentekes inability to finish one on one rather than sack a manager after 4 games. Joke. 4 games. 4. Thats 4.

    • SpurLedleyKing September 11, 2017 at 12:06 pm

de Boer should not have signed bad squad

  • ronwol196061 September 11, 2017 at 11:56 am

you would think they would have interviewed Deboer before they hired him and he would have told them they need to strengthen the academy and a new system would have to be introduced.
    But I guess they didnt.
I mean Poch got 5 years and DeBoer not even 5 matches. What dicks

  • Freund or Foe September 11, 2017 at 11:53 am

And to think I wanted Frank instead of Poch. Saying that, with the shite they`ve got, I`ve no doubt Poch would be in the same boat at Palace.
If Woy comes in and loses 4 games, will he be sacked too? They could have gone through 9.5 managers by the end of the season.

    • caveman September 11, 2017 at 12:13 pm

      9 managers and Sherwood!

    • mattspurs September 11, 2017 at 12:22 pm

The squad Poch inherited wasn’t up to much when you look back on it. Kaboul, Chiriches, Soldado, Adebayor, Townsend, Lennon, Capoue, Freidel (aged 46!)

  • Horndog September 11, 2017 at 11:52 am

Whoever takes over at Palace is going straight into the shit. Three of there next four matches are against both Manchester clubs and Chelsea. πŸ’©

  • MysteriousStranger September 11, 2017 at 11:40 am

…eventually the Barcodes snatched a point.

What about the other two points?

    • Ronwol1960-61 September 11, 2017 at 11:44 am

But you only made one point!

    • ronwol196061 September 11, 2017 at 11:35 am

With the Dutch everything takes time. Imagine for centuries they walked around in clogs. So to sack De Boer after 4 games is ridiculous
