I like Neil Warnock.

I fear for the whereabouts of his eyebrows of course, but he’s fundamentally a decent football man.

Warnock’s at Cardiff City these days, under the watchful eye of soccer ball supremo Vincent Tan.

Pre match pressers from opposition managers rarely provide all that much insight, but this gives you a sense of who we’re up against, if that sort of thing interests you. The city boss said of Mauricio:

“I think he’s super, he’s a lovely guy. I’ve always done quite well against him actually. You get criticised at the top of the league differently to us. They should have beaten Inter Milan, they played so well and they ended up losing. They’re a really good exciting team and with the English lads they’ve got we should be proud of Poch for giving them an opportunity. No disrespect to Tottenham but I think he’ll go onto higher things.”

7 games in, and the Bluebirds have just 2 Premier League points from two draws to their name.

There’s certainly no excuse for this afternoon being a dull affair.

Havent seen the likability of Warnock. That remark only confirms the impression I had of him. Hopefully a brutal, soul-destroying humping coming his way later on.

    What’s Mrs Doubtfire talking about?
Pochettino has the cushiest job in the EPL , he doesn’t have to win anything to be lauded by all, just be better than the 90s and finish above 2 of the other top 5 who just by law of averages will have 2 teams having an off season or rebuild.
He was Brave all summer, after talks the club agreed with his Brave agenda also and we are now seeing the fruits of this Bravery.
Why people think if he went to say UTD he’d be a massive success is bizarre, the club would demand big players , Pochs record with big signings is poor at best , he’s not gonna have superstars running theirselves into the ground for him, hel still have only 1 tactic and way of playing , hel still ostracize and alienate players , hel still have a favourite unwavering close knit 1st 11 no matter what or how they perform , he won’t get 5 year ‘projects’ to return fuck all , he won’t have an academy line to wheel out , or a victim card to play.

It’s a game of opinions but I have to take issue. Potch does not have the easiest job in the efl, every year he starts ten points behind the field due to working for a megalomaniac like levy. Levy is actually the guy with the cushiest job in English football .He’s the best paid chairman with a dismal track record in both playing achievements and now as a project manager. Kept on in a job due to a family connection where in any other business he would have been binned. A degree in land management from Cambridge apparently doesn’t really prepare you for a serious building project.
In regards to potch I suggest you bide your time. In years to come we’ll remember affectionately the days where we finished top 3,top 2 and gave bloody noses to the big teams. I suggest southampton too would settle for an 8th place finish too which is what he gave them.
If he goes onto pastures new I think he’ll do fine. Do you believe pep would have got the current side higher than 3rd last year with the same resources and spend? At Tottenham he got rid of the bad apples he inherited and if he went to Man U he might do the same but with proper backing he would make the a better and certainly more watchable team.

        Absolutely re Levy!

Pretty spot on about Poch, too! We’ve reached our high water mark, though, alas and we’ll probably be returning to mid table mediocrity in due course. Thanks to Levi and the stadium, we missed the boat these last few seasons as regards landing a premiership title.

I do believe the Man Utd job is probably one to actually avoid at the moment: they’re in a downward cycle at present, due after the two decades of success and there seems to be a lot of back stabbing at the club. They give the impression of being a club not comfortable with itself and could well go another ten years without landing the title.

Pep wouldn’t win the league title with Spurs without a huge dollop of good fortune and nor would anyone else working for Levy.

CORRECT. Botches record in Signings is Brutal, 8 from 10 games the team starts in a coma, His Tactics are Rubbish and so are his Subs, and to top it all he is a Patsy.
