Keen eyed viewers will note this does not correlate with my sentiments in the previous blog, this is because it’s my guess at who he’ll run out.
I don’t believe that Poch can leave it alone. The desire to do his best as a company man.
The problem is, his training regime doesn’t offer the latitude to our first XI picks, if they don’t get a rest, then the fatigue has a cumulative effect.
I’m guessing that Poch will start with an XI that he feels that he can reply upon to both whether whatever ‘shock and awe’ storm Gillingham care to initial throw at us, then be able to put Spurs at least a couple to the good.
At which point Mauricio will judiciously unleash our bench of haircuts.
If we don’t risk playing the kids in full force, we achieve two things.
- We learn nothing
- We incur the burden of another game of increased difficulty in this abysmally named tourney
Prediction? Blimey, I didn’t even get to see Gillingham play back in the early 1980s, let alone have an idea of who they are now.
I’ll take learning something, or a win.
