This was the second time Michael Oliver has denied Son a penalty at Wembley this season after he chose not to award a spot-kick in the final moments of Liverpool’s 2-1 win in September.

Pochettino has not forgotten that incident and was incredulous in his response to yesterday’s re-run. He told PA Sport:

“Today do you think that Sonny deserved to be booked? Unbelievable, unbelievable, unbelievable.

“When you compare the situation with the penalty against us, unbelievable. The problem is, I told Michael Oliver, the situation of Liverpool in the last minute that should be a penalty, but it was a clear penalty.”

Did Sonny dive? The ref thought so and we all know that they close ranks.

Better diving is required, that’s my one size fits all solution!

The Qatar sponsorship story first ran in Sept 2016:

    From this:

“The approach came from Tottenham, according to the newspaper, who have reportedly pitched a ten-year sponsorship deal to as many as 300 companies, institutions and investment vehicles. The deal would cost $198 million (£ 150m), which would cover naming rights for the club’s new 61,000 seater stadium. “

This is what I hear. Qatar airways are gonna sponsor TOTTENHAM. Big money.

    • Accy February 11, 2019 at 8:08 pm

Where do you get that from? Sounds good.

      • Tappaspur February 11, 2019 at 8:13 pm

Someone that I know mentioned it to me with conviction. Their light purple colour does match with the roof lighting TOTTENHAM play with at nights. Who knows though man

Did the guy go into much detail about his conviction?

By all means do, just bare in mind people are likely to discuss it!

I imagine you can’t give your source, but how is he/ she likely to know? Do they have valid connection or is it all down to lights, hope and a stab at who has enough money?

Ramsey £400k at Juve… wow! 1) is he that good to be one of best paid players in the world? 2) how are they dodging the FFP? Must be one of top wage clubs in Europe now.

    • Accy February 11, 2019 at 7:35 pm

That’s nuts. Something very fishy about that.

    • Panama Paul February 12, 2019 at 10:09 am

#fakenews. Ramsey is on 400K a week alright, just that it’s 400 kilos of pasta.

Compare it to some of the decisions Liverpool have had this season. Salah had dived about 4 times and got a penalty every time. Once i swear he was about 5yrds from nearest player… plus their offside goals!

  • JimmyGrievance February 11, 2019 at 5:04 pm

That wasn’t the only decision he got wrong. Their penalty that never was. Maddison run into Jan as the ball was going away from him. If that was a penalty, then so was Sons.

Also, if Jan was adjudged yo have fouled Maddison that was his second booking which meant he should have walked.

Referee’s and the officials have to be more accountable. 51 minutes before we get a free kick ! Leics ain’t that saintly !

He felt the contact and left his leg in. I think Poch should watch it in slo motion. I imagine other managers would be furious if he hadn’t have fallen over.
