Good morning Gillingham slayers.

Ive just double checked what I published yesterday and yes, I’m still a long way from going full bobble head Hilary.

Did Poch ‘manage change’?

Yes he did. The team was flooded with kids and as the game wore on he was able to retrieve first teamers such as Davies and Ericksen from the field of play.

Only Wimmer and Lamela played the full 90. Janssen was taken off in the 75th minute before he spontaneously combusted.

What did we learn?

I’d suggest not much. It may be terribly mean spirited of me, but praise for anyone having a good game against Gillingham needs to be extrememeasured.

Gillingham were extremely naive. I cannot recall seeing a side coming to The Lane play with such width and doe eyed innocence.

Whilst we bask in the post coital afterglow of our manager resisting the urge to do something stupid, next up in this competition we face Liverpool away.

For those readers predisposed to belief in an omnipresent made up friend in the sky – riding shotgun over this life – I strongly suggest you start getting your prayers in now.

Janssen’s Soldado impression was pretty faultless, right down to a pulling of his shirt over his head in frustration, not to mention achieving a modest retribution via a penalty.

Oh, and N’Cluedo is shit.
