Parrot Fashion

By The Boy -

Good morning my politically charged parakeets.

That European Union referendum business is gathering pace with David Beckham endorsing some twaddle written for him by a 10 Downing street copywriter.

Just because David didn’t concoct his ringing endorsement, it is a cheap shot to belittle the sentiment.

After all, to the best of my knowledge he didn’t make the under crackers he advertised and it’s highly unlikely he mixed any of his perfumes.

That said, if you too are a multimillionaire living in a mansion in America, he’s probably endorsing sound advice.

I take my voting advice from those with an intellectual gravitas greater than that of a retired footballer.

So I’m going with this parrot from Hull.

One player who’s giving Spurs the bird at the moment is Nabil Bentaleb.

Gladys is certain that the lad isn’t in Pochettino’s plans, yet the silence around his possible departure is deafening.

Glad is aware that the kid’s agent has been given a less than subtle nudge and so we might expect a few more pieces like the current one in the Daily Mail suggesting interest.

Right now, Gladys is unaware of any interest from Napoli but Crystal Palace are a side that have been vaguely mentioned as a possible destination.

The problem Spurs have with the boy is that he has’t played in months, and whilst there isn’t any negative PR doing the rounds, there isn’t any thing positive, in fact it’s the wholesale silence that is part of the problem.

Physioroom.com have the 21 year old as still out with ‘a knee injury’, but it’s rapidly approaching the point where he’s been out that long, he could have been kneecapped, and been rehabilitated in the same time.

As things stand, the addition of Wanyama is not enough and we are desperately underweight for a Champions League campaign on top of league and cup commitments.
