Why on earth are we playing Dembele and Wanyama and Dier and Kane and Llorente in this ? Surely we could have done with a single DM and one striker, not risk the key boys and give them a rest, give the others who need some minutes a runnout…what am I missing here?

    8-1 to Spurs

  • Matt January 27, 2018 at 4:37 pm

Surprised we are starting Kane. Assume Poch believes we are half a team without him.

    ‘Disastrous day for West Ham’
    Wigan 2-0 West Ham
    Phil Brown

(Former Southend manager on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra)
It’s been a disastrous day for West Ham, it’s 2-0 and it could end up three or four.
Will Grigg puts the penalty straight down the middle, he’s on a hat-trick now and it wouldn’t surprise me if he gets it. It’s not been how you expect a West Ham team to play, or a David Moyes team.

GOAL – MK Dons 0-1 Coventry (Maxime Biamou)
The fans are on the pitch! The flares are out!
    (BBC Sport)

    • Still Nil Nilinho January 27, 2018 at 4:26 pm

Ah the 1970’s, flares, stripey multi coloured tank tops

    • David Dillenberg January 27, 2018 at 4:26 pm

I believe Coventry have taken 8,000 travelling supporters.

      • David Dillenberg January 27, 2018 at 4:27 pm

I stand to be corrected but they have taken an army of fans!

      • Still Nil Nilinho January 27, 2018 at 4:27 pm

        That’s nice for them

      • Harry Hotspur January 27, 2018 at 4:32 pm

Surely that is ‘hostages’, not supporters?

  • Limerick AL. January 27, 2018 at 4:17 pm

Lets see at HT how The Poch has prepared his side. We all know what to expect away at Newport, but will we see our Boys sauntering around with vacant expressions on their faces, which happens a lot, regardless of the opposition. Perryman always advocated the Notion that you have to fight for the right to play and if we do not do this today, expect the expected.

    • David Dillenberg January 27, 2018 at 4:20 pm

Nothing personal but I would rather see 10 Phoenix Patterson’s in the Spurs team than see Sissoko on the pitch who does little to lift my enthusiasm!

      • Still Nil Nilinho January 27, 2018 at 4:23 pm

Spurs aren’t allowed to play with 21 players in a game.

Fight as in Putting in Effort, Not Braining Someone.

  • David Dillenberg January 27, 2018 at 4:17 pm

There are dozens of places in the world called Newport – two of them in Wales, confusingly – but only one of them has hosted the Ryder Cup, held a NATO summit, and produced a group of absurdist rappers. Men of Gwent, we salute you…

    • Limerick AL. January 27, 2018 at 4:18 pm

Theres a Newport in Co Tipperary David, and its not really a long way.

      • David Dillenberg January 27, 2018 at 4:22 pm

Cheers. I shall bear it in mind on my future travels!

  • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? January 27, 2018 at 4:15 pm

    Sessegnon scores again.

  • marsinho January 27, 2018 at 4:10 pm

give big sam that already jigsaw in place even if it’s just a six piece and he’ll make a pigs ear of it.

poch must stay no matter what it takes in keeping him here.

  • McG ⚽️ ⚽️ January 27, 2018 at 4:04 pm

It’s interesting to read we’d go to shit if we lost Poch?! While hugely appreciative of what he’s done, I don’t agree. I think any manager with attacking preferences over defensive would have a field day at Spurs. I’d liken it to Wenger inheriting Graham’s defence, whoever was to step in would have the most important part of the jigsaw already in place…

    • Limerick AL. January 27, 2018 at 4:06 pm

      You Cant say that !

    • Yiddo January 27, 2018 at 4:13 pm

Shhhh, stop arguing with the media. They’re watching you…

    • Ronan January 27, 2018 at 4:17 pm

If Poch jumped ship to Madrid how long before our best players followed him?

      • Limerick AL. January 27, 2018 at 4:26 pm

Ask Danny Levy, he has The Roster prepared.

      • marsinho January 27, 2018 at 4:32 pm

That would be unthinkable but not impossible leaving us all with the shit end of the stick.

  • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? January 27, 2018 at 4:03 pm

    Now Madrid are 2 up.

  • Matt January 27, 2018 at 3:57 pm

I’m off to my local for a few pints of Fullers finest. Walk back and watch us thump Newport. Then check Newsnow to confirm we’ve signed a quick 🇧🇷 winger with an eye for goal. Happy days.

    • Blanchflower January 27, 2018 at 3:58 pm

How many of things will go wrong.

      • Matt January 27, 2018 at 3:58 pm

        Definitely not the pints.

        • Blanchflower January 27, 2018 at 3:59 pm

“Sorry Matt, out of Fullers”. Tempting fate.

        • Willie! January 27, 2018 at 4:02 pm

Bit early for that, not quite 8am here.

    • Limerick AL. January 27, 2018 at 4:03 pm

We might sign some 33Year Old with an eye “For The Roof Of The Stand “.

  • Blanchflower January 27, 2018 at 3:56 pm

Glenn Hoddle just out checking the pitch, must be doing the BT sport punditry.

Is there any chance of a Toby cameo?

  • Sid Trotter January 27, 2018 at 3:52 pm

So we will win 6-4 according to the stats. I think it will be 0-2 if players aren’t turned into mincemeat by half time
