No Guarantee Deal Will Be Done By 29th July

By The Boy -

The Mirror are running with the suggestion that the Bonzo to City deal will be ironed out by the time Spurs face City in the USA next month.

That game is the final match of the preseason tour held at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday July 29th kick-off is at 11pm.

Whilst it would be tidy to get the transfer done in time for the preseason Gladys doesn’t believe Levy is fussed either way.

Glad said: “Walker is a Spurs player if he missed all the friendlies it would bother anyone here. Pep doesn’t feel the same way and Daniel’s attitude is so what?”

This deal, if it happens at all needs to be entirely on Tottenham’s terms. Bonzo might not be Alli or Kane but he is still a rock solid, first XI player and ENIC, let alone Spurs the football team simply cannot be seen to dropping their knickers at the first time of asking.

The ‘building something special’ line may have worn thin some time ago with me, but some narky pants blogger is the least of ENIC’s concerns.

Lenders and all the other assorted commercial partners do not expect the club to start selling off assets, let alone before the bloody doors have opened to the the New Destination™.

This incidentally is the dark cloud that ought to be over Levy’s head for the next good few years. Whoever shines at Spurs must be retained or the whole gig is a joke.

Flogging off Bonzo is something I’ve been charitable about for two reasons. Unlike many of you, I think he’s a halfwit and a liability anyway. Plus, there’s extenuating circumstances.

However the message this sale will send out whenever it is done – will be a poor one.
