No Dice, But Poch Rattled

By The Boy -

The Mirror say that Jose Mourinho wants United to go all out to land the boy Dier. An ‘irresistible’ bid of £60million was cited.

The threat of Manchester United wanting to poach Eric Dier is very real. So much so that in a move that even I find almost incomprehensible, our chairman has sat down with our manager and asked for his thoughts on the matter.

Glad’s understanding is that the two men agreed that Eric was a key member of the squad and will not be sold, but this has left Pochettino somewhat bewildered.

£60million is a lot of money and were the 23 year old part of significantly bigger squad some might say that would be madness not to cash in. Surely selling Dier for any amount would be wrong on so many levels?

What’s more important, far more important this window, are who are Mauricio’s targets?

The scouting mechanism at Tottenham is non existent, the revered Paul Mitchell was binned in classic Levy style and made to work out most of an utterly surreal 16 month notice period. In his stead, a pair of cheap deadbeats were introduced.

Surely Poch has targets. I refuse to believe that his brain is so useless that they previously included the pile of French junk we’ve recently had to suffer.

Can Poch really go another window without getting a player he wants?
