By saying more or less anyone, I ought add the caveat that it simply isn’t clear who it is, but you’d have to be stark raving mad to seriously suggest it was Rod Stewart or Kenneth Clarke MP.
On Davies, the word is he is a done deal.
My concern as ever, is fans keeping their heads. Ben will cost “too much” money, and will being replacing a black man. These two factors are neither his fault or by anyone’s design.
So maybe, just maybe we give the chap more than “until the first time he screws up” before writing him off?
My gut instinct, my best guess, is that Morrie is looking to make low key signings that will lend a gradual traction to the team, blending with existing personnel.
