My XI vs The Italian Mob

By The Boy -

Picking a team that could cause serious damage to one of Europe’s established footballing royalties should be a tough task, however even with only Toby out those that are available are more than capable of getting the job done.

As mentioned previously, I believe we’ll win. It’s bound to be less than straightforward these things invariably are, but our players know that they can compete at this level and win. In stark contrast to some of the undiluted cobblers that infests our public relations spin, this is a competition that we’ve graced with a fair degree of swagger.

Not only have the results been good, the performances have more than matched them.

There’s a question mark over Mousa but I cannot bring myself to contemplate Sissoko starting. In fact, at the risk of reverting to type, if this lot can’t unpick Juve’s locks then I’m unconvinced that any better  answers will be found on the bench.

The Italians may well fly out the traps. In their last 20 away European games, Juventus have scored the first goal 8 times and conceded the first goal 10 times. Add to this form the away goal lurking above their bonces, Pochettino would do well to send our lot out with an extra splurge of menthol rubbed in the centre of their shirts. An early goal from the visitors would take self inflicted fiascos to hitherto unprecedented depths.

Some betting and some additional prattle to follow. You lucky people.
