Despite being older than some of the exhibits in the Natural History Museum Gladys is confident that the boy Dembele is on his way back. He will be back.

Conspiracy theorists can step in now, as this was a complex hip issue that required some extensive hip refurbishment, yet it’s not going to keep him out for any significant period of time.

The big bad Belgian is held in the very high regard and the facilities and professionals he’s had access to have been the very best imaginable.

The scar tissue may cause a problem – but not one that would prevent Mousa from playing in the short term – however the club think that it might require clearing away from the area come next summer.

Mousa has been following the Spurs whilst being out of action….

Bollocks, shades of Lesley. Another beautiful Rolls Royce player with crappy joints. Must be all the hydroponic!!!.

  • Real Fan? October 2, 2017 at 8:42 pm

Just to play devil’s advocate. What does Winks have that either Little Tommy Carroll or Chasin’ Ryan Mason did not?

    • Horndog October 2, 2017 at 8:49 pm

Aside from the call up, he possesses far greater skill. Innit!

    • Harry Hotspur October 2, 2017 at 8:53 pm

Carroll is physically lightweight and lacks the quick thinking of Winks. Mason is technically less adept than Winksy.

      • Real Fan? ⚽️ October 2, 2017 at 9:07 pm

Yes, TC was defo too lightweight. Mason showed some flashes of an energetic, driving force from midfield but I’d agree his touch was suspect at times.

For me, Winks still has a way to prove he is going to become a first choice. good option off the bench who can hold onto the ball, and gets around the pitch…but does he have the ability to really influence games? We’ll see.

      • San Diego Spurs October 3, 2017 at 2:50 am

yeah, but apart from being physically, technically, and, apparently, mentally superior to Carroll and Mason, what does Winks have?

        • Harry Hotspur October 3, 2017 at 7:59 am

          ☺️

    • Vic October 3, 2017 at 12:10 am

      Skill

    • Spurfect October 3, 2017 at 6:55 am

Change of pace, stronger, better on the ball with either foot, reads the game better, better tackler. Apart from that nothing

  • Freund or Foe October 2, 2017 at 8:30 pm

    Barca could leave La Liga.
I don’t care, just thought I’d mention it.

    • Horndog October 2, 2017 at 8:35 pm

Will they form a one team league?

      • Freund or Foe October 2, 2017 at 8:37 pm

Their president said they’d have to choose which league to join. Italy, France or PL. I’d say they can fuck right orf.

        • gloster1861 October 2, 2017 at 8:40 pm

          I mentioned it yesterday.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

          Yep

        • Spurfect October 3, 2017 at 6:57 am

    PLAY UP WINKSY

  • gloster1861 October 2, 2017 at 7:18 pm

So Lamela has had problems with his hips and had operations, and has been out for 11 months and counting. Dembele also has had hip problems but has played on, then had an operation, and will be back quite shortly.

    Hmm. Different specialists?

    • sideshowbob October 2, 2017 at 7:43 pm

possibly different problems withdefinately different hips

    • Spurfect October 3, 2017 at 6:59 am

      Probably different problem

  • Horndog October 2, 2017 at 7:10 pm

Harry Winks called up to the senior national squad as Fabian Delph and Phil Jones withdraw. Wow. Good for the lad. Probably filling a roster spot at this time but great experience.

    • Superspoz 🏆 October 2, 2017 at 7:16 pm

      👏👏🍻

    • Superspoz 🏆 October 2, 2017 at 7:19 pm

I think Southgate will be pleasantly surprised with him. Great attitude, exellent ability, no tattoo and a razor sharp side parting.

    • Hartley™ October 2, 2017 at 8:18 pm

Harry Winks is a fantastic little player, I’d rather he hadn’t been picked but fair play to the lad.

    • Kiwiyid October 3, 2017 at 12:27 am

I expect his drinking will improve no end!

  • Yiddo October 2, 2017 at 6:54 pm

    Concerning the Dele article:
The problem is that we can’t even bench him, we are crying out for more attacking depth. Imagine an alternate universe in which Levy would actually spend, who could we sign? You have a budget of £80 mil and a wage ceiling of £150k
    Ideas?
    I’ll start the list:
    Bale

    • MysteriousStranger October 2, 2017 at 6:58 pm

Wages too light for Bale. Have another go!

      • gloster1861 October 2, 2017 at 7:02 pm

I’ll suggest Coric (not really 😉) just to beat Dilly to the punch.

        • sideshowbob October 2, 2017 at 7:03 pm

          i’d get Brian Cox

          • gloster1861 October 2, 2017 at 7:11 pm

Which one? The astrophysicist or the actor?

            • sideshowbob October 2, 2017 at 7:12 pm

the one who acts like an astrophysicist

    • sideshowbob October 2, 2017 at 6:58 pm

this is gonna be fun,, i can feel it..

    • mattspurs October 2, 2017 at 7:57 pm

We’ve had Son and Lloriente on the bench most PL games who are both fairly decent. What Dele has done by getting himself suspended for the CL games is make sure he plays 90 minutes of every PL game. Kane and Eriksen get subbed off if we are winning, Dele is left on.

      • Spurfect October 3, 2017 at 7:13 am

Llorente doesnt suit us at all, simply cant see him being a good buy

    • Kiwiyid October 3, 2017 at 12:29 am

Rat boy still the attacking general. He was the player RM got cheap. He has regularly outclassed Neymar. What would we demand if Modric was still here?

  • Superspoz 🏆 October 2, 2017 at 6:24 pm

A very good player, can be amazing from time to time but I’m struggling to be hyped up about him. Sorry.

    • sideshowbob October 2, 2017 at 6:47 pm

        • sideshowbob October 2, 2017 at 7:13 pm

i got about 200 litres left in store, ranging from putrid to sublime… wish i had labelled them better!!

          • 61SpursNut🌰 October 2, 2017 at 7:15 pm

Can they all be better? Shirley some must be worse.

            • sideshowbob October 2, 2017 at 7:18 pm

labelling better, is better , than bad labelling which is worse

              • gloster1861 October 2, 2017 at 7:43 pm

No labelling us better than bad labelling.

No, sorry, getting mixed up with the Tory bollocks about Brexit.

  • Sid Trotter October 2, 2017 at 4:39 pm

If a farmer lives on a farm, and a milkman lives on another milkman. Why doesn’t Lamela eat cheese

  • Sid Trotter October 2, 2017 at 4:38 pm

Mousa is not a Dembele by any stretch of the imagination. He is a pulsating brain machine that sparks with energy, verve and drive wherever the ball leads him. In Mousa we trust

They’re main attraction material from a Victorian style freak show.

Keys is Dr. Moreau’s “Man with the Monkey Paws”. Grey is the incredible can of human SPAM. Wise is the freakishly realistic ventriloquist’s waxwork boy.

I must admit I thought ‘the Moose’ had a problem with his foot! Notwithstanding, it’s good to know that the hip operation has been successful. A fully fit Dembele is going to be vital for us as the season progresses, hopefully complemented by a fully fit Lamela. Any fitness news updates on Victor Wanyama, or Danny Rose?

    • McG ⚽⚽ October 2, 2017 at 4:47 pm

Er, didn’t Dembele have foot surgery? And is now currently suffering with an ankle injury!!

  • Rich G💣 October 2, 2017 at 3:31 pm

I wonder if he could be back for the Madrid game?

Mousa Dembele, everyone’s got one these days but this one’s ours.
