Maybe Spurs Could Win The League?

By The Boy -

Poch opted for a 4-4-3 which made sense from the perspective of seeking to showcase our front 3.

Alas, the Tottenham midfield in the main is so wretchedly dour that it wouldn’t have made much difference if we’d played Neymar, Messi and Zlatan up front.

Harry Winks was comparatively excellent – his passing accuracy hit 90% – however he needs more about him than Lego Man Eric Dier, and Type 2 Diabetes Man Moussa Sissoko.

I’ve seen praise for Sissioko in places – this is from people who are thanking their captor for throwing stale bread through the food hatch into their cell.

Yesterday I suggested that West Ham fluffed their lines and even upon sober reflection, this remains true.

West Ham looked at one point as if they might be able to slug it out, but Zabaletta’s absence took them down to ten men and it really hurt them.

Then they lost Yarmalenko.

No wonder it looked clogged up out there.

The influence graphic tells a rather dull tale.

If you’re looking for positives, you could say that our midfield was rather effective at dealing with West Ham’s mediocre midfield and vice versa.

Closer to the truth is that Lamela did his best because he’s got more fight in him than Mick McManus, but Kane – like the fans – was being fed on scraps

Bringing on the heartache

Lucas Moura is all faux fur coat and no knickers, and Kieran Tripper is breaking my heart.

One of the most involved players who achieved close to nothing.

10 crosses, of which only 2 were successful.

Maybe the Premier League has gone to pot and we’re still in with a chance of winning it?

Or maybe we’re going to play someone good again soon, and get our bottom handed to us on a plate.

Full biopsy in due course.

“One of our own with passion and spirit” but fuck all experience on the battlepitch. He cant orchestrate or organize. What does he know about leading men? When he’s played 100 games we’ll talk.

Winks is one of our own who embodies passion and spirit of the shirt.
When he first burst onto the scene I always sensed he has the attributes to be a future Spurs and England captain and nothing has really changed my mind unless he disappears into oblivion!!

Hang on we are long overdue for a January spending spree by which time we shall probably simply be focusing on winning the Caraberro Cup (unless we are k/0 and FA Cup respectively!

Yes food for thought as never viewed Lamella as captain.
Surely the ideal candidate is or was Harry Winks?

Lucas did a nice flick/touch over a challenge.
Lamela was our saviour.
Hugo, nice to see you.
Thank you off side

The reality check will I suspect hit home hard this week as PSG show us the exit door for the CL and Man City pat our bottoms firmly reminding us all and our players that we are a club going absolutely nowhere. With the likes of Sissoko, Dier, and Davies getting game time we are illustrating where we are as a club in terms of quality and ambition.

For some reason ( probably one eye on cl) we allowed wet spam to muster up some courage and have a go. I think we forgot it’s their cup final and it could have backfired on us.
How did that ref not book or send off Snotgrass for that challenge on Louca??it was right in front of him.
Wet spam are a detestable shorty club. We’ve become their rivals in their eyes since cheatski started buying trophies.
We will end up fifth of sixth. Don’t discount the goons and manure, they will sign players whilst we probably won’t.

IMO Spurs will finish outside the top 4, in no particular order being:
Citeh
Liverpool
Chelski
Arse.

Great teams stuff teams regularly. (9 goals or more in 3 games. We cant stuff teams occasionally. Stuffing teams is so important. Just winning games aint enough to make a team feel unbeatable. Lamella has a captain in him. Not yet though.

Sissoko over m Edwards. I cant get my head round that. Lamella and Edwards linking. Niiiiiice. Trick up teams. Skill up teams. Twist up teams. Dribble past teams. Chuck a few goals and many assists in too.

Top 4 is as best I dare hope for. We are scraping games rather than strolling through.
