81% or something or other of THST members wanted the club to play at Wembley during the inevitably ‘challenging’ rebuild seasons.
If I was paying a tenner into an organisation that had the political clout of a rolled up copy of the TV Times, I’d have probably also asked for complimentary jelly and ice cream at half time.
The bigger picture is what Spurs could become.

Anyone knocking COYS wins a lifetime ban – I’ve actually spoken to the owner and he’s a one of the select few of decent people online – unlike me, and many many others.
As far as the NFL goes, these complex, delicate and important negotiations were very close to completion when we tried to add a couple of last minute items.
Bafflingly, those conditions wouldn’t have been a drop in the ocean to the overall financial size of the deal, but unfortunately the shenanigans left a ‘bad taste’ in the mouths of the NFL negotiating team.
We realised we were being penny-wise pound-foolish and have done our best to smoothe any ruffled feathers so we’re left with a couple of sticking points, which are being actively worked on.”
