Dele Alli is wanted by Barcelona, to replace Neymar, according to The Express. Fingers crossed they watched him play yesterday and saw enough to change their minds.

If Barca were to make a bid, one would imagine in the current climate that £100million wouldn’t beggar belief.

Bonzo brought £50million and Dier is supposedly worth the same.

The Sun say that Bayern Munich want to make an opening bid of £50million for Eric Dier. A player that the paper goes on to describe as ‘versatile’.

Vincent Janssen has been shortlisted (the list isn’t that short, in truth) by Olympique Marseilles according to L’Equipe.

The French giants are said to be primarily interested in Stevan Jovetic but OM apparently have a list of  alternatives which features Nikola Kalinic (Fiorentina), Moussa Dembélé (Celtic), Wilfried Bony (Manchester City) and our very own Vincent Janssen.

Is it really so unthinkable that Levy would asset strip a little further while the market is so ‘unsustainably’ buoyant?

According to the Daily Mail in 2012, a change in FA ruling in August 2009 means that red cards in pre-season fixtures do not result in suspensions from competitive games. This rule change covered all non-competitive pre-season fixtures, including the Community Shield.

Therefore Pedro will not will not receive a ban for his sending-off today.

I do wonder why Wembley is divided into each end for a cup final when it would be fairer to split it left & right so if penalties do happen there isn’t an advantage in fan support?

And so it comes to fruition. Levy gravs the money for Walker, his eyes filled with £ signs, before a 2nd RB is signed or lined up.

Trippier gets injured and thus any prospective RB tagets value goes up. If we want to sign said player that £50M windfall is now eaten into more than it should have been.

Likely outcome is that Levy baulks at the price and we either sign an inferior alternative or stick with a rookie back-up.

Groundhog day should be renamed Levy Day. Same mistakes repeated over again

from a previous post on another Blog yesterday..Talisca is a fantastic talent, much quicker, stronger and fitter than Lamela etc. For ones that were asking why is he not at Benfica the answer is he has fallen out with Benfica and asked to go on loan .not forced by his club. MOURINHO MADE £25 MIL OFFER TO SIGN HIM. Benfica cant sell unless they break the loan agreement. He is a very very good player and will add another direct option to Spurs team..

If he is at a top level club he will accept to be a part of the squad ..He will be another Son in my opinion..If we can buy him Poch will turn him into a monster..He is a great potential..levy won’t part with Alli for £100 mil. No chance of that..he is not an idiot..Alli is worth Neymar fee at the moment..There is only number of players of that quality so he is an exceptional commodity..Coutinho for £120 mil which makes Alli even more valuable for Levy

  • TheCincinnatiYid August 6, 2017 at 2:17 pm

I believe Walker was sold because

    a). Despite great speed he couldn’t cross the ball for shit;
    b). Woeful long distant shots with scant success;
c). Decreasing but still too plentiful brain farts.

City will be sorry. We won’t.

    End of.

    • Lilywhite without the II August 6, 2017 at 2:20 pm

City will use him for his strong assets and won’t be sorry as they don’t care what he is worth in 4 years time, they care what he’s worth to them NOW..

      • Ronan August 6, 2017 at 2:28 pm

Too true, unfortunately. Fellow pros rated him the best RB in the country – bar none – last season; while Toby said: “he is one of the best full backs in the world and now he is with another premier league team .. we are all very sad”.

Are you sure that Levy consider MC a direct rival to Spurs?
    In what?
In winning the PL title or the CL?

After Levy and Co have run Spurs for seventeen years, you should know that according to our owners we have no direct rivals as officially we don’t aim to win anything.
Just increase the value of the club when it will be sold, mainly through construction works.

Barca is a proper football club Geared up to WIN WIN WIN..Levy and Poch put a team together that will go places if Levy supports the manager. This is by far the sternest test for Levy..How you keep these players together and turn your nose to £200 mil for the sake of a better future. He has to prefer crying at home in his bathroom alone by turning away any approach or face total collapse of Spurs as a football team by all accounts inc clubs reputation..Liverpool just turned down £100 mil for Coutinho…Levy should stand up and make a statement on media clarifying the situation and distancing Spurs from any speculation..up until he does this in my opinion he is not a Spurs fan he is a s..m in disguise.

    • ronwol196061🇨🇦 August 6, 2017 at 1:52 pm

He is certainly not going to do that with Alli. Alli is a brillisnt footballer who may just have an attitude problem so je is not accorded tje same respect as Kane.
The question is if we get an insane bid from Barca..who could we buy?

Levy said we will only sell players this summer for sporting reasons. The reason why walker was sold has been made transparent by Poch, which contrary to the uninformed speculation here had nothing to do with a falling out between them. There isn’t a sporting reason to sell any of our first team squad now, so I expect none will be, it’s no more complicated than that. the attempts to make it more than that smell of daily ragtop journo tactics to create clickbait.

    Excuse me, Mr Wanker.

The ‘uninformed speculation here’ was that Bonzo had an affair. I don’t believe anything was ever published to support a ‘falling out’.

As for your ‘sporting reason’ howe the fuck does that apply and make sense of any sale to a direct rival?

Finally, this blog is very proud of over a decade of clickbait excellence.

Yes It would be. We obviously have money to spend and I can’t see them not bringing anyone in. Question is will we do better than previous windows as our previous picks haven’t been successful

  • Sid Trotter August 6, 2017 at 1:21 pm

I think if Dele goes, Poch will too. Yes, selling Dele would pay for half the stadium yes, but the prices to get in would be so high they’d make yesterday’s attendance look positively bulging. Can’t see any more sales. Hope Levy has also bought into Poch’s philosophy and understands he loses more than he’ll gain by selling for big money, as tempting as it may be.
