Ledley King Got Hammered Last Night

By The Boy -

A massive problem with working for THFC under Levy, is that the media handling is a very weird hybrid between an East Berlin travel agency and Walt Disney.

‘the future’ he says…

Poor old Ledders is such a genuinely naïve chap, it hurts. After games like last night it positively stings.

Perhaps this explains who the THFC machine believes to be their demographic. People with the world view of a 10 year old.

Replies were in the main measured; no normal person has the heart to clout a bunny rabbit with a baseball bat.

The tide is turning.

What has been mooted in here since AVB quit, has suddenly become a mainstream opinion.

The propagandist guano about returning to the dark old days of Scholar and Sugar (were we won stuff, but normally is conveniently airbrushed from the mumbling) simply doesn’t cut it. People aren’t that stupid.

Reasonable investment.

That’s a chilling request. Like a prisoner asking for reasonable levels of food and hygiene.

Ouch.

The poor guy received countless replies all making the same point.

By the time this gargantuan debt is cleared and ENIC are prepared to throw a pennies back into the football side of the business, many current players will be retired or enjoying foot-rubs in Chinese knocking shops.

The Levyologists are mumbling their stupid excuses to themselves.

I’ve never seen Social Media bustling with so much common sense.

ENIC might have stood a better chance of getting away with it, had the stadium build not been an unmitigated shambles.

Dier has ideas above his station and defo slows play down. Gotta say I thought winks had a decent game again and if he can hit the gym this summer, I do like how he wants to get forward as soon as he picks the ball up. Full backs a massive problem, but losing Toby is an absolute nightmare. Don’t think there’s alot to say about the striker situation that hasn’t been said a thousand times, and I do hope that the itk about poch not wanting cheap crap for the sake of it is true as the money that’s been wasted over the years doing that is criminal. Surely there’s 2 players out there now who can help what we have????

When my mum opened up the lid of her house it cost her about 30k (nice cosy self contained space up there) 7 years on the rent has paid for it and now she plans to go back to the Caribbean more often with the rent. Damn! Where’s the family gonna link last Sunday of the month but more importantly who’s gonna cook the rice&peas 🙂 🙂 🙂

Building the ground is absolutely nothing to do with THFC. It’s a cash cow for enic. Wasn’t necessary yet went ahead when the better option was to upgrade whl. It’s not someone else’s money. Levy built us a ground? Why the fuck are we 650 m in debt then? We can’t afford to get anyone? 10th richest in the world. People can defent this shit if they like but don’t ever call us negative on here. We want the best for out club. The apologists are happy to accept mediocrity.

I agree about Lamela, we should cut our losses. Another major irritant for me is Dier who passes it sideways or backwards and then stands still and points a finger in the general direction of nowhere, thereby slowing down our tempo. He will only be a CB, never a midfield player. As a rule of thumb, one should always ignore club ambassadors comments as they are apologists, not realists.

Look at fulham with their four thousand odd seats increase. Bet the owner would love to flatten that lovely old place and do a “TOTTENHAM” you keep your grubby hands off it! The riverside stand with its bars and shops will be nice. Imagine how much players are gonna cost in 10 years time. Fulham will never be able to compete

Poch said it all a month or so ago when discussing when Levy hired him. ‘We want to be in the top 4 when we move to the new destination’. Poch has overperformed compared to Levy’s expectations and got the fans believing we can win something. Levy never wanted to spend, being so close was never in Levy’s playbook. He was expecting us just to be happy we were in a shiny stadium and competing top 4.

It’s the club’s money, earned by poch anx the players, being piseed away on a stadium that’s cost three times as much as was originally claimed and which is going to hamstring poch for as long as he’s at the club.

Ryan Mason, now an academy coach, tried to normalize another barren transfer window on the Sky debate last night, suggesteing enic’s “philosophy” MIGHT change once the stadium is paid for. Tossing out just enough fish, in other words, to keep the seals honking and applauding and farting in excitement and anticipation.

Lamela rapidly becoming a pet hate. Been here however many years, still doesn’t seem to have got to grips with the pace of the game, always likely to do something stupid, and doesn’t score enough goals. Not a great combo for an attacker. Whatever one of those is. Didn’t have a problem with centre half’s last night thought they were pretty good, and highlights how much we will miss someone when he goes. His attitude is first class and to replace him is gonna be a real challenge

interesting that people can get agitated about so called player investment on someone else’s money. If your finances are stretched building a back extension it’s not the time to upgrade the car and go on expensive holiday. The club is doing its best to make the leap from a so called big club, to being a genuine force in European football. The stadium is a vital part of this and won’t come cheap as we all know. The team is probably the 3rd best in the UK when most players are fit. Yes how lovely to win trophies but this will come. The team played much better in the 2nd half and some performances were excellent, think Winks Rose Vertonghen for example. And Sissoko in parts. Don’t want to discourage Gazzaniga but it’s even possible one of their goals wd have been saved by Lloris. As for pens., it’s a lottery. No good moaning, just hope all the physios and medics do their work well in the next few wks. coys

Levy must go. Remember the original stadium plan was NOT TO MOVE and have the new stadium built around The Lane and move into the new stadium when it was 3/4 built. Levy has time and time again mugged Tottenham fans and they seem to be happy with it. Sorry but I do not understand why anyone supports Enic/Levy.

Digging out Ledley for his tweet is a bit unfair. like all ex footballers he’s got to earn a crust and stating the obvious problems at the club would only lead to a change in his employment.
One thing that the enic era had demonstrated is how sensitive the bald short cunt chairman of ours is to criticism. All changes of management obviously come with gagging orders. However it’s time for the fans who attend the games to make it clear to levy and his son ,who Harry says is now on the firm, what they think of him.

A long time ago you said Levy was ‘penny wise, pound foolish’.
You could also add that He has small shopkeeper mentality.

Strange how the guy can find 850m to construct one of the best stadiums in the world yet not find the cash to make us a genuinely top team in the UK.

And please, nobody start lecturing me on fixed and current assets because the latter buys the former.

Levy stands to blow up all the good work laid down by previous managers in his short sighted, greedy quest for money.
