The latest news is that both Mousa and Sandro will be subject to late fitness tests.

Azza, Verts and Kaboul are all out. The latter two until the 11th and 19th respectively. Which leaves us with a mend and make do back four for the league games against Stoke, Man Utd, Palace and Swansea – unless a better answer is available in the January sales.

Prattle and confirmed team to follow…

Here are the prematch stats for you.

Two goals from Emmanuel Adebayor on his return to the first team helped Tottenham to a much-needed 2-3 win over Southampton on the south coast. The victory will also no doubt contributed to Daniel Levy’s decision this week to appoint Tim Sherwood as permanent manager on an 18 month deal.

Not only has Hugo Lloris pulled off some outstanding saves this season, he’s also proved he’s no slouch when it comes to the kind of defending you’d normally associate with an outfield player. The French captain leads the league amongst goalkeepers for clearances with 24, and has also made 2 interceptions.

Emmanuel Adebayor has apparently lost not of his potency in front of goal during his exile from the first team. The Togo international had three attempts on goal against Southampton, all of which were on target.

Defender Kyle Walker, no doubt along with all of his teammates, was keen to secure both a much-needed win against the Saints, as well as the attention of his new boss. He attempted more tackles than any player in the league in the last round with 7.

West Brom rescued a point against Hull thanks to a late strike for Matej Vydra last time out, a welcome one at that after the dismissal of manager Steve Clarke.

No Baggies player has been more willing to have a shot on goal than Stephane Sessegnon, the Benin international racking up a squad-high 20 attempts so far this season according to the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index.

Jonas Olsson will be crucial to West Brom in this period of transition as they look to appoint a new manager in the wake of the sacking of Steve Clarke. The Swede continues to be a crucial part of the Baggies’ defensive unit, compiling a squad high total of 188 defensive contributions (blocks, clearances, tackles won, interceptions).

Midfielder James Morrison has been highly efficient in his use of the ball whilst in possession this season. He currently has the best pass rate in the West Brom squad, completing a pass in the opponent’s half on average once every 3.4 minutes he’s been on the pitch this season.
