Harry Kane to Real Madrid for €200million.

Trwaling back through all the he said/she saids the source is chap called Eduardo Inda and it was he the former Barca journalist, who on his Spanish TV showΒ ‘El Chiringuito’ said he thought that Kane was the obvious choice.

“Real Madrid are asking for Harry Kane for next season, but you know the price and they are [sic] 200 million euros”…

This isn’t even speculative, it’s made up.

Tottenham have received no enquiries for Kane and this guy is simply putting together not just 2 and 2, but one of those jigsaw puzzles you give a dull babies or a West Ham fan of an above average intelligence which is comprised of 4 large pieces.

As per the last blog, Gareth Bale is using a mobility scooter to get him to and from the training pitches form his car, whilst Benzema is still continuously linked with a move out of theΒ Santiago BernabΓ©u. Real Madrid will soon need fresh meet again.

It won’t be Kane.

is Gascoigne gonna have a crack?
You were living the good life. After Hoddle and co, apart from Gazza and 91 Ive had nuffin, Jol was giddy heights for me that year!

Yes there is something to that. But its also more painful. The need to see good footie is within me since then and I think we are now paying the best we have since then. Maybe some people including Harry have some rose tinted glasses about Jols time but I think he wasnt that good of a manager and we were not that good..even though that season we were close. To me it wasnt the lasagna it was the level we had (I felt that at the time too) . Sure was disappointing to lose to a dish of lasagna but really it was a false dream. If there was a bigger commitment by the club then I would have put more into the lasagna situation.
We were great in the 60’s and we are great now. We can get better as well. Im not negative where we are at and Im happy to see players like Eriksen playing with more confidence and hopefully Dele with do what he has to do to grow as a player. Levy and Poch signed a few good players. To me we are one midfielder short of really getting there. Either one of our boys will step up,Barkley will make some kind of difference or we sign a real winner

What do Koeman and T May share in common? Both are fighting survival.

    BBC’s political editor Laura Kuenssberg
There has never been a speech quite like it. Even before she took to the platform Theresa May was fragile – politically, and in terms of her health, she has been struggling with a cold all week.
But the awkwardness of watching her cough her way through what was meant to be a
    fightback was intense.
Ovations were engineered by the cabinet to give her time to try to clear her throat. The stage manager at the conference venue was continually handing her cough sweets to try to get through.
A prankster handing her a P45, interrupting her speech, ministers looking on in horror, trying to get him to leave before he was eventually bundled away in a huge media scrum, then handcuffed and surrounded by police.
At moments it felt like it would be impossible for the prime minister to carry on with the speech, but she made it, just. But for how long can she continue in her job.

Nothing wrong with having a hard working striker as a captain. The guy starts of the defending and finishes off the attack. Leading by example is the best way to lead.

Southgate is gonna have a word with him, so I saw Ian Wright say earlier. There’s a programme on Sky called The Debate, and Alli and his behaviour/cheating was one of the topics of discussion. There are plenty of voices saying he needs to buck his ideas up and not fuck up his career. Let’s hope he sees sense. And then we’ll sell him, naturally, whatever he does.

Tottenham have to decide who they want to be.
I was with Berbatov when he left Tottenham because he was our best player and we were not making a statement for him so he left
Its the same now.Either we rise to the job of competing with the best or we dont
and its not the same as buying a player. That decision is different. So we either aspire to Kanes level or we give him up if he needs to go.He doesn’t now but we should keep it that way stadium or no stadium

    • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? October 4, 2017 at 2:31 pm

    • MysteriousStranger October 4, 2017 at 2:52 pm

Not sure what else we could do. You suggest we weren’t “making a statement for him” and that’s why Berbatov left? He wanted to go to Man United after his first season, downed tools the start of his second season, sulked and couldn’t be bothered to make an effort – and helped Jol get the sack before Christmas, then he started playing again, and got his move that coming summer.

Sure, we sold Keane because he wanted to go to “the club he’d supported growing up” – but we’d bought Gomes, Bentley, Dos Santos, and Modric. It looks to me like we were trying to build something under Ramos even if all the purchases didn’t work out. The fact is, it had FUCK ALL to do with not supporting Berbatov, and had everything to do with Berbatov wanting to go and play for Fergie and get paid a lot more too. He was a snake. Albeit a bloody talented one when he could be arsed. Fuck him. Unless by “making a statement for him” you meant paying him a shit load more which we all know we haven’t got form for, and you think that would have made him stay, instead of going to play for Fergie.

You’ve just rewritten history if you honestly think it was anything different to that.

For me,the team around him wasnt great and Jol wasnt a very good manager. We were not playing great football and Berbatov was one of th few class acts as far as quality was.
Compare that team to today and our team today is pure class.
Keane was a very good player. Not great in my opinion as there have been so many more great players than him. The quality of our footie was just above mediocre. But all this is my opinion. So unless I am writing the history books,Im afraid it wont change history.
I didnt know that you were that fickle.Feisty perhaps but not fickle

        • MysteriousStranger October 4, 2017 at 3:16 pm

Why, and how am I being fickle? I’m just pointing out the actual facts. I pointed many of them out at the time, so I haven’t changed my tune. I’m not the one celebrating the brief Spurs career of Dimitar Berbatov. No one player is bigger than the club I support.

          • ronwol196061πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ October 4, 2017 at 3:31 pm

        • mattspurs October 4, 2017 at 3:25 pm

Mediocre? Results maybe but some of the performances were very exciting – think we went 50 odd games with no 0-0’s under Jol. We had 6-4, 5-4, 4-4, 4-3 results – it was bonkers.

Correct. Jol was NOT mediocre. People came to the pub just to watch Spurs – even people who didn’t care about football all that much.

            • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? October 4, 2017 at 4:13 pm

To each his own.Its all opinions.I truly felt that it was average footy and that Berbatob provided the type of football I believed we should have had more of.
He went to united and in his position was Ronaldo,Rooney and Tevez and most if the time he and Tevez were in the bench but they had a team.

We agreed to sign Modric in April. He knew Modric was coming to play for us a long time before he actually arrived.

Berbatov never started a game playing with Modric. So not sure what your point is?

          • ronwol196061πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ October 4, 2017 at 3:46 pm

My point is we lacked enough good players at the time.
Many people in Berbatovs position would have left and have..infact most have.
People leave jobs everyday to better themselves

            • MysteriousStranger October 4, 2017 at 4:01 pm

Can you actually address any of the questions I posed you? How am I fickle? What could we have done to “make a statement” for the Bulgarian sulk? I already pointed out the fact we were spending money on decent players (or so we hoped) the summer Berbatov actually fucked off. He wanted to fuck off the season before. We were notably actually spending money net durig the entire time Berbatov was at the club. Yet you seem to think the club let him down when HE, Berbatov the cunt wanted out. I’m not denying him his right to move to a bigger club for more money. I pointed out to you those are the reasons why he wanted to leave Spurs. But you think we could have done something different? In your own time.

              ronwol196061
Tottenham have to decide who they want to be.
I was with Berbatov when he left Tottenham because he was our best player and we were not making a statement for him so he left

How did we let this cunt down again? And why on earth are you even comparing a disloyal Bulgarian to one of our own whose motivation is very different and the polar opposite of Berbatov’s?

              • ronwol196061πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ October 4, 2017 at 4:13 pm

I never said its the same at all. Kane has a much better team around him and has an affinity with Tottenham not just a contract.
But as we have seen time and time again things happen and Im saying just that we have to keep Kane happy.
Because their different it was even more important to have supplied better players around Berbatov to compete properly. He was the team.
By the way fickle was the wrong word

      • ronwol196061 October 4, 2017 at 3:05 pm

He is a snake because he wants more money?
        Hello World.

        • MysteriousStranger October 4, 2017 at 3:18 pm

So what were the club supposed to have done to have changed the situation as you painted it again?

          • ronwol196061πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ October 4, 2017 at 3:38 pm

When you have your main star you have to make him happy. Maybe buying some decent defensive players would have helped…more money..maybe as well.
Players have likedvmany managers but they believe in and respect Poch for the most part. They see a commitment in tbe club at least of building.
Then it was Berbatov holding up anything we had as far as quality.

            • MysteriousStranger October 4, 2017 at 4:03 pm

We were buying players and spending money the whole time Berbatov was at the club. Don’t talk wet. You seem to have forgotten where we were as a club before Jol came on the scene.

    • mattspurs October 4, 2017 at 3:20 pm

The gulf between Man United and Spurs was pretty big when Berbatov left in many ways – team, squad, trophy potential and money. Currently the only thing setting apart the bigger PL teams is money. City are the biggest spenders but won nothing last season, Chelsea faltered the year before and United haven’t had a decent league finish in years. If their squads are so good why do their managers keep trying to sign our players. Sanchez signing is one of real intent.
Our squad currently has the French captain, the England captain, the most famous player in Asia, the most overhyped young player in World football, the best Skandi – any great player has a fair few players of equal rank around them.
