The last game ever at White Hart Lane will be against Manchester United on Saturday 13th of May – 2017. The company doing the demolition have been given just a 12 hour window to commence the final phase of destruction.
The current Spurs Megastore is approximately 5000 square foot in size. The new store, provisionally branded ‘The Tottenham Experience’ will be approximately 27000 square foot.
The mega-Megastore is of course, due to be open for next summer, to herald the arrival of the new destination.
Oh, and here’s a letter sent to local residents by Mace a few days ago – did THFC know which way the Wembley vote was going to go, before it was cast? – mentioning that roads will have to be closed for the deconstruction phase of the project (and specifically mentions needing to close Park Lane for demolition of the existing South Stand).
You’ll note that no specific dates are cited, but THFC don’t do things out of kindness. In fact, if I received a letter like this from some private business opposed to local government, I’d be inclined to write back and suggest that the sender did something quite unspeakable with their missive.
As I’ve said all along. I’m pro stadium, but very very very anti the sh*tty way the club have gone about inflicting it upon everyone.
