Chelsea may have won the league and be on for the double, but we can take pride in how we didn’t.

Our players were all bred locally, all under 23, and play for Spurs purely for the love of the badge.

Financial Fair Play may well have come in four seasons ago, this CFC side may well be packed with players bought since then, and boosted financially by some eye-wateringly clever player trading, but we noble Spurs fans know the truth!

Victories such as this are hollow and meaningless. What are Chelsea building? Do they have a Cheese Room on the horizon? I think not.

I for one pity the fool that has to tell the char lady at The Bridge there’s another trophy to dust!

We should remember Bill Nick’s wise words and snigger at the likes of Chelsea. Whilst they have the glory, we will bask in the echo of glory, and without having to buy decent players and waste fortunes on market rate wages.

“It’s great to have been a part of the history here and I’ve had some special moments at this stadium, even though I’ve only been playing in it for a few years,” said Harry, who is on 27 goals for the season.

“Those goals in my first game against Arsenal really mean something to me.

“Sunday will be a sad occasion I’m sure, the end of an era. But at the same time, we are now going into an amazing stadium and hopefully the new one will bring even bigger and better memories.

“I’m proud to put my mark on the Lane, now I’m hoping I’ll make an even bigger impact at the new place.
