It’s A £44M Deal

Alexandre Lacazette is set to join Arsenal in the coming days for around £44million, according to Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas.

The France striker has been linked with a move to the Gunners for much of this summer as they seek to lift themselves into Premier League title contention.

The outspoken Aulas has previously insisted Lacazette is going nowhere this summer.

But, quoted in Le Progres on Sunday, he said: “The transfer of Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal could be completed in a day or two.

“The 67million (euros, £58.75m) announced by sources in England is an unrealistic sum. Arsenal’s first offer was 45million and the transfer will be done for a fee of between 45 and 50million (£39.5m-44m).

“Being close to 50million is something unique and would undoubtedly be a record for Arsenal, and also for Lyon of course.”

Lacazette scored 37 goals in all competitions for Lyon last season, including 28 in 30 Ligue 1 games.

This article nails it on the head. The Haringey council are Blairite Labour, the sort who have no connection with their constituents. They are sham socialists. Labour needs to purge these Tories in hiding, the wannabees, the Mandelson ‘suck up to the rich’ clones who still infect the party.

I recently filled out an application for a place in manhattan that was advertised as affordable housing. After going through a quick vetting process they informed me that a qualified for a 1 bedroom at 2800 a month plus bills. 2800 a month is affordable housing now? I sometimes wonder how their are seemingly so many people able to dish out that kind of money.

Our own vincent can score a few goals in the French league. And 10 of those goals were penalties btw. Lacazette! Pft. How is he an upgrade to giroud, he’s certainly no replacement for sanchez.

Dislike Arsenal all you like, I do. However they are making a measured effort to improve their squad and have it ready to roll when the season starts.

    Yes but……….
They have Auntie Wenger at the helm

This is Auntie under the cosh. Desperate to appease the fans. It could work out well for them unfortunately but I doubt very much if he’d be so gung-ho if they’d crept into the top 4.

True, shame on me for overlooking that glaring weakness.

Heard one of them French footy writers on Talkshite last week saying he is a good striker but he won’t take Arsenal from 5th to 1st, or 2nd or 3rd or 4th in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if Everton finished above them 🤘

i find it strange that he can’t get ahead of Giroud in the national team, but gooner’s claim this is a great signing (to be fair it could be along with Mahrez)….. how depressing!

Lacazette is so 80`s. We need to hold out for LaCD`s at the very least, although LaMP3download`s would be preferable.

And I wouldn’t kick LaFLAC out of bed either.

Buckle up people. If we don’t keep up its back to 6th to 11th for us.
