It Looks Like A Cricket Pitch : UEFA Unhappy

By The Boy -

Balder than the chairman

Sun damaged and overused, Wembley’s turf is looking less than hallowed; no amount of sprinkler usage is going to get the surface up to scratch before this evening’s Champions League tie against Barcelona.

The worn patches can be seen clearly in these snaps that are currently doing the rounds on social media – do not look good.

Thin on top

Has anyone got any Alpecine?

Nip down the butchers and grab some out the window

UEFA representatives were concerned about the state of the pitch during a training session yesterday and their concerns are going to be added to the final match report.

Meanwhile in North London, some grass is eventually being laid at the New Destination™.

Quite what bearing this has upon when the stadium doors might eventually open is anyone’s guess.

What we do know with complete certainty, is that the supporters who bought seasons tickets for the New White Hart Lane have been treated appallingly.

It really is difficult to imagine that Levy & Co., every really believed the new ground would be open in time, based upon the fact that Mace and their subcontractors refused to commit to penalty clauses.

In ANY other sector, the cretin behind this ongoing fiasco would have been fired.
