Is Spurs Latest Target – Our Hazard?

By The Boy -

According to Le10Sport Spurs have ‘woken up’ and revisited negotiations for Bordeuax’s 21 year old Malcom.

Chelsea whilst linked with the player by the press, have yet to make any contact.

The same can apparently be said about Arsenal.

There’s a curious use of language here by the way, with more than one report citing that Spurs ‘lead’ the race to capture the São Paulo born boy.

Yet this is a player THFC looked at last year, and still nobody else has come close to signing him.

The Brazilian is thought to be valued in the region of £45million.

£45million sounds like a fair bit, but one has to remember that this is approximately what Eden Hazard cost Chelsea back in 2012.

Which raises the question, ‘if Spurs are 7 years behind Chelsea, is this guy going to be our Hazard?’

Mmmn.

In 2015 Malcom had a modest run of 11 appearances for for Brazil’s Under 20s.

Then nothing.

It may provide perspective at this point to add that Kylian Mbappe is 19, a World Cup star and cost a reported £166million.

Malcom is more Micky Hazard than Eden.
