Hunting Ban Revoked

By The Boy -

I never had a problem with the Foxes winning the league. In fact, I don’t have a problem who or how anyone wins anything. Moralising after the event is called ‘sour grapes’

Football teams are not obliged to fulfil some convoluted criteria in order to be allowed their win.

There’s no Wiki ‘They won but…’ page just as there’s no ‘We nearly won …’ page.

So what I enjoyed about last night was thumping the reigning champions, away, and Spurs not really having a MOTM. Yes, Kane score 7 times, I get that, but the point being, this was yet another collective deal, another team effort.

God dammit, even Dele Alli was dripping with esprit de corps last night.

No, Leicester weren’t very good. Yes there are serious questions to asked about the mentality of a group that can win the league, then engineer the dismissal of their manager, then avoid relegation and proceed to coast the rest of their season.

Tottenham are the second best team in the league. And they’ve earned that. It’s been a comparatively remarkable season, one which has raised the bar.

The next step ought be consolidating this and winning something but with Wembley ahead of us, the odds are suddenly abysmal.

I’m also unconvinced by the rebuild of The Lane.

If Spurs can get the better of these two sizeable obstacles then they have an improved future. If the future is Winks and Lesniak Spurs may well have a promising one.
