Home » He Wants €40M

Good morning, bigoted xenophobes and assorted crypto Nazi scum.

The last word on Michy Batshuayi aka Mikaela Batfink from Gladys was that the boy was close to joining us.

Yes, he’d previously got it into his head that he expected to be our highest paid player, but that desire had been softened and he was keen to come.

It appears we overcame one obstacle and have now been presented with another.

Olympique Marseille’s Vincent Labrune has apparently now decided that the player is worth €40million.

To add to which West Ham’s name have been dragged into matters.

This is obviously a ham fisted attempt at leverage, alas they are dealing with Levy here; a man who would walk away from a deal over ninepence.

The French source article suggests that the player is happy to wait until the conclusion of the Euros.

Presumably the 22 year old is hoping that as Belgium continue through the tournament, he may eventually get a game.

Victor Wanyama is looking forward to a “new dawn” in his career at Tottenham as the Kenyan midfielder closes in on an £11million move from Southampton.

Wanyama appears set to join up with former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino at White Hart Lane, with the player claiming a medical has been completed, although there has as yet been no formal confirmation from either Barclays Premier League club.

The midfielder, who will be 25 on Saturday, was signed from Celtic in July 2013, but had so far not taken up offers of a new contract, and so would be free to leave St Mary’s Stadium at the end of next season.

“I am indeed elated at passing my medicals at Tottenham. It is a new dawn in my career and I believe I will give my best for my new team,” Wanyama said in an interview with African football website www.s oka25east.com.

“I want to thank Southampton management and fans for the exceptional time we had together. I will always have a fond place for them in my heart.”

Wanyama made 92 appearances for Southampton, scoring four goals.
