Tottenham return to Europe this week to have their solid domestic form scrutinised in the world’s biggest club competition.
Fernando Llorente has been discussing life away from Italy with TuttoSport and it’s no surprise that that the food gets a mention.
“Tottenham have two nutritionists and there are similar approaches to food that you’d find at Juve. It’s rare that I have an English style breakfast, but don’t imagine Kane starts the day with fries either. At Swansea, where I was last season, it did happen: they are still fairly British in their habits there.”
Returning to the football, Spurs’ second striker wasn’t short on praise for the man in pole position.
“Kane is the complete striker, very good with his back to goal and can find the net out of nowhere. He has a radar in his mind that shows him where the goal is. Harry is also super professional, much like Chiellini. He’s happy here, pays attention to every detail so he can improve.
Having said that, Gonzalo Higuain is on fire and rediscovered his confidence after a complicated start. It’d be better if he waited a little longer before finding form.”
Juve’s 30 year old is in fine form scoring 14 times in 23 SerieA games so far this season , plus another 2 goals in the Old Lady’s Champions League exploits.
The Italians currently occupy second spot in their division, one point off leaders Napoli, however the item of note here is that Juventus’ goal difference is head and shoulders above every other team.
