What does football have to do with Jewish identity? Why did the Swastika once fly over White Hart Lane? Which club’s all-time leading goalscorer was an observant British Jew?

Four Four Jew is a major new exhibition exploring the story of football and British Jews. An exhibition for all the family, it will bring together memorabilia, rare objects, old and new film footage, and fun interactives to tell the story of the clubs, the players, the Chairmen, the fans, and the ‘religion’ that is the beautiful game.

Exhibition advisors include: David Baddiel, Anthony Clavane, David Pleat, Lord Triesman, David Dein, Kick it Out, National Football Museum

You have shouted from the terraces and prayed for victory: now help us tell this inspiring story by supporting Four Four Jew at the Jewish Museum.

We hope you love the unique football stories we tell, deliberate over your fantasy team and have a new appreciation of why for some going to the match on a Saturday afternoon is just as important as going to synagogue in the morning.

We hope this exhibition brings back memories from your childhood, helps you win an argument with your best friend over whose team is better and explain to your children or grand-children why the Sunday league
continues to be such a big part of Jewish life.

To help the Jewish Museum unearth these and other fascinating stories from our collection and beyond, to help us display them for your enjoyment and everyone’s benefit, and to enable us to keep sharing and celebrating Jewish life and culture in the heart of London, please consider joining the Four Four Jew Fan Club.

You can support the Jewish Museum’s exhibition programme by joining our Four Four Jew Fan Club. Membership of £250 will entitle you to:
