HUGO LLORIS: Pulled off one particularly decent save, but also got away with making a parry earlier in the game when he perhaps should have held it. 6

TOBY ALDERWEIRELD: His usual commanding self for most of the contest but will be disappointed at having not managed to complete the job of keeping United at bay. 7

ERIC DIER: Did well in a centre-back position for much of the time before being shrugged aside by Martial when the Frenchman scored. 6

JAN VERTONGHEN: A similar story to Alderweireld. 7

SERGE AURIER: Spent a lot of time up the field and was unable to make any of that work really count. 6

HARRY WINKS: Did not shine so brightly on this occasion as he often has of late. 6

MOUSSA SISSOKO: Also less good this time around than he has been at times this season. 6

BEN DAVIES: Commendable outing both in attack and defence. 7

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN: Created Spurs’ best chance with a clipped pass that Dele Alli could not make the most of. 7

DELE ALLI: Has certainly delivered better performances. Guilty of a crucial miss. 6

SON HEUNG-MIN: Produced some decent stuff in the first half here and there, including a fine tackle on Mkhitaryan. 6

SUBS: MOUSA DEMBELE (for Sissoko, 62): Pretty sturdy as usual but the goal went in with him on the field. 6

FERNANDO LLORENTE (for Son, 62): Little impact. 5

    FERNANDO LLORENTE : Little impact.

    Now that’s a nickname.

Not sure how Eriksen gets a 7?? He was bloody awful. He has been alittle out of form as of late.

“MOUSA DEMBELE (for Sissoko, 62): Pretty sturdy as usual but the goal went in with him on the field.”

Just for the record, I did not write this.

Didn’t see the game as I was over on the Pembrokeshire coast looking at (and bringing back with me) a rescue dog. I’m guessing it’s not worth catching Match of the Day for?

      Brilliant – what’s the dawg?

Champ’s the fella you’re looking for. Saved from death row of a local pound he’s been looking for a permanent home since early July. So far so good with my existing two…

        Just done it.

We need Wanyama back big time and we need to settle the back three into Sanchez,Toby and Verts. PlAy Dembele ahead of Wanyama as our link player with a fit Rose and Aurier as attacking wingbacks . Then rotate Dembele with Winks if he needs to rest.Rotate upfront with Eriksen, Ali, Lamela(if fit) and Son with Kane leading the line. Llorente as a sub but only if we play to his aerial strengths upfront. Sissoko only in emergencies as a sub .Get an attacking midfielder and another striker in January. Sell Dier and GKN if an offer comes in along with Sissoko.

  • caveman October 28, 2017 at 5:06 pm

Disappointing result and performance. Surprised you gave Sissoko anything, he was pure and utter crap.

    • Harry Hotspur October 28, 2017 at 5:35 pm

      I didn’t.

      • caveman October 28, 2017 at 6:06 pm

I’ve just noticed PA Sport. Apologies.

No problem – as I did it I knew it would be invisible.

Only one away win against a top 6 side since Poch took over (Man City 2015). The big prize is gonna stay out of reach until that picture begins to change. Emirates next month would be a good place to start changing it.
