Home » Extensive Poch ITK

Gladys as come up with something rather interesting here.

The team’s been learning and training with the 3 at the back business since the start of pre-season training.

Poch really, really loves our wing back heroes Danny Rose and Bonzo, and the boy Trippier is apparently pushing him all the way in training.

The Gaffer and his team have looked at the strengths of our more attacking midfield players and the conclusion is that all virtually all of them are much more comfortable playing in old fashioned inside forward positions.

It’s unlikely that in the long term we will play with a number 10.

The players for the 2 central midfield options are thought to be Mousa, Wanyama, Winks, and Alli (to a lesser extent) and Eriksen.

Now Poch loves Dier but his days as a central midfielder are somewhat numbered.

It’s his ability to play on the right hand side of the defensive 3 and Vertonghen’s similar ability to do likewise on the left is a primary factor in the switch to a back 3.

Having someone in the ‘Makelele’ role will rendered unnecessary – which might make Wanyama’s life a bit more uncomfortable.

The Ultimate wish of the management is to deploy Mousa & our annoyingly mercurial Dane.

It looks like the front 3 will be made up of the regular number 9 ( or 10 in Kane’s case) with the remaining inside forward roles to be taken by 2 from Alli, Son, Sissoko & Lamela.
