Mousa Dembele may by old and creaking a little when his Cod Liver Oil runs low, but on his day he can still be very much one of the most exciting midfielders, probably in the world.

Gladys understands that a tentative enquiry has come from Italy, seeking at this moment it know if there is a conversation to be had, will the 30 year old be available this summer?

The answer from Tottenham is that they simply don’t know, yet. It is not impossible.

The Belgian has already told the press recently that he could leave.

“Maybe this is my last season. Or maybe I’ll sign a new deal. We’ll see.”

The World Cup is likely play a significant part in everyone’s decision making processes.

Pochettino may prefer to hold on to Mousa, but Levy could not have wished for better timing.

A 30 year old with a significant Physio-Room habit could shine on the world’s biggest stage and suddenly generate a handsome farewell fee.

What is more concerning is the absence of Tottenham transfer gossip in the respect of inbound players.

The Departure Longue at Hotspur Way is beginning to fill up. Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld and now Mousa Dembele?

Looks like Lucas Moura is going to have his work cut out, should he ever get another Premier League start.

Investment in a quality Dembele replacement should have come in last summer. Said player could have got bedded in in preparation for the coming season onward. Unfortunately Levy’s meal deal scouting system(bargain scout plus crisps and a drink) coupled with the net spendosis has again struck. Poch and his super 12 and Chelsea and Arsenals bewildering implosion has seen us achieve something Levy needs to lock himself in a dark room for 30 days and 30 nights of corporal mortification to offer thanks for. The jail door will shut eventually if he continues with form.

As we like to say, Harry Kane scores when he wants. 😁😁😁

  • richspurs April 11, 2018 at 4:55 pm

When all is said and done his best work is at the edge of our pen area, defending, dispossessing and setting up the ball for clearance under no pressure. Otherwise he runs around a lot, dribbles a lot, looks silky smooth, and the master of the five or so yard pass, to what effect one wonders, maybe keeping the posession. Does not inspire comebacks, raise the tempo, etc that a player of his ilk should be doing.

      I’m suitably impressed

thats for the Bamidele dance moves

I agree with that except he does give us backbone un the centre of midfield. Sure I woukd like to see more creativity and more direct work to get to goal but you cant expect everything and whike niw we have the talent in front of him we have se dont need it so much.

    • Harry Hotspur April 11, 2018 at 4:52 pm

      I can’t look….

    • caveman April 11, 2018 at 5:39 pm

I’m not looking at the little twat either.

Dembele is a strong player . He is also difficult to replace. He can hold the ball and shield it and pass it in.
    He can dribble and tackle.
If there is a weaker part oof his game is his lack if making a bigger impact to directly creating goals or scoring some but with quality showing now in the more attacking players ahead of him, there us less need for the latter.
I do think though he will be difficult to replace.

    • Harry Hotspur April 11, 2018 at 4:33 pm

      Wanyama is the replacement Ron.

      • ronwol196061🇨🇦🕎⚽🎷🎥 April 11, 2018 at 4:41 pm

He is as strong but not as aware as Dembele. Im not sure if he can dribble. Hisctackling us tough no doubt.
But we are talking about a CM not a DM which Wanyama is more of

        • Harry Hotspur April 11, 2018 at 4:48 pm

Not my choice Ron, it’s what Spurs have done mate. Mark my words.

This is going to make you laugh Harry but I think Dele could play the role and gain a discipline that would help him.
            He could become a Gascoigne.
            I said could.
He has a great psss in him. Is a tough tackler and can dribble and has a creative mercurial character

            • richspurs April 11, 2018 at 4:57 pm

I think Delebele has the talent to be just as good a striker, if not better than Kane.

              • ronwol196061🇨🇦🕎⚽🎷🎥 April 11, 2018 at 5:15 pm

He tunes out a lot. In midfield he will be forced to give everything

                • Mikespurs April 11, 2018 at 5:25 pm

Wanna is dembs replacement for me. I think he can do it & don’t see us buying a ready made player for that position. “Excuse me barmaid………can I please have another crap French winger…….sure sir but happy hour is over so it will cost an extra 10mill. Not problem if you except installment payments”

            • Harry Hotspur April 11, 2018 at 5:22 pm

              Ron, he’s 30.

I know to you this makes him a mere man-child, but outside of LahLah Land, as footballer that’s old.

              • ronwol196061🇨🇦🕎⚽🎷🎥 April 11, 2018 at 6:14 pm

          • Rich G April 11, 2018 at 5:18 pm

            Hahaha,what?we signed another midfielder.

            • Harry Hotspur April 11, 2018 at 5:21 pm

You didn’t read it, did you?

      • Lilywhite April 11, 2018 at 4:45 pm

I love you H but have to agree w Ron on this. Dembele, as fragile as he may be, is totally irreplaceable at the moment w/in the club. He’s a deep lying holding midfielder, somewhat similar to a Carrick, Fabregas, etc., not a combative defensive midfielder like Dier or Wanyama. I sure as hell hope he doesn’t leave. Jeezus.

        • Harry Hotspur April 11, 2018 at 4:46 pm

I love you too & hope he doesn’t leave. But if the right money comes in after the WC, he’s gone..

          • Lilywhite April 11, 2018 at 4:57 pm

            I hear ya sister

    • Tappaspur April 11, 2018 at 5:23 pm

Its time for him to play just in front of a back three. (In a roaming roll) can that happen? 🙂

  • richspurs April 11, 2018 at 4:21 pm

Still looking grumpy, old chap. Cheer up.

    • Harry Hotspur April 11, 2018 at 4:29 pm

It’s my face, you daft cunt.
