Email To The Football League

By The Boy -

Sirs,

Arsenal vs Spurs League Cup 19.12.18

Smashing win, eh?

However, I was somewhat confused as to when safe standing at The Emirates had been approved.

Such events are normally announced with some hullabaloo, but I guess I missed this.

You will see from your review of the game that the vast majority of Arsenal fans spent more or less the entire game standing.

Indeed there was zero evidence of stewards making any effort to sit down.

Standing in seated areas, you will know, is contrary to ground regulations.

Your set of ground regulations states:

‘Nobody may stand in any seating area whilst play is in progress.

Persistent standing in seated areas whilst play is in progress is strictly forbidden and may result in ejection from the ground’.

This is of course a civil matter, and so something for you to address directly with Arsenal Football Club.

Along with the matter of a Tottenham player being struck on the head by a missile thrown by an Arsenal fan (who will probably be more challenging to find on CCTV as he was in a mob of standing supporters).

If no permission to stand at The Emirates has been granted, then what will you be doing to address last night’s nonsense, and as importantly, what will you be doing to prevent this from happening again?

Or are you happy enough for this football club top run riot and cross any injuries or fatalities, should they ever arise?

Your faithfully and Up The Spurs,

Harold Hotspur.

Yes, they didn’t seem bothered. Their finishing was certainly, errr….apathetic. Winning is a habit so I would like a trophy no matter but if Poch off, what’s the point?

Win is awin,
They may have won the league one but what have they followed it up with. The league game was their world cup final like it is for West ham.
We also won with the squad decimated, that made it easier for Poch as he had limited options.
Attitude of the players seemed better than the last game.
Let’s go win this cup, quadruple is still on

I think Arsenal had no interest in winning last night (maybe a small passing interest if we threw it). It represents 3 games, 2 of them derbies against a top side and likely 1 against one of the best teams the PL has seen. I would like to win the cup just to break the hoodoo, but the league cup is the ultimate in waste of time. Only team that cares about winning it is the team that wins it. Takes as much effort as a good cup to win, but almost 0 kudos.

Their players also seemed angry that Dele dared to object to it. They are a club whose culture is rotten from bottom to top. Check what they published on their official website after the last NLD..

For reasons that are unclear, some spurs fans bracket “The” Arsenal and their fans in a higher, more respectable category than the blue and claret racists. Can only be down to not encountering many of them. The reality is they are at least as bad, imo worse.

Maybe if it was a banana flavoured drink? The racism agenda is top priority and this exposes them as the shills they are. They are not concerned about people of any ethnicity. Just about the agenda.

They should av found the guy already who chucked the thing. I have…..on you tube. Its quite clear, he ducks down after it hits cos he clearly didn’t think in a million years it would hit his head. Unbelievable shot, bad news for him if they bother to do anything. Its official. Words are more dangerous than actual physical objects.

I haven’t scoured the whole of the media, but the Arse seem conspicuous in their non condemnation of the water bottle being thrown at Dele’s head.As I pointed out last night the banana skin didn’t even touch the player. It will be interesting to see how long it is before the culprit is identified if at all. There are no excuses not to with all the cameras around football grounds these days.

It must have been the ‘Visit Rwanda’ arm bands that pissed em off. Stewards? Spectators more like. Watching the play on the pitch rather than the hordes of barbarians in the stands.

So what inspired this letter then? To be honest, I don’t care if people sit or stand. My issue is a used banana skin is thrown at the players feet and the guy gets taken to court. A weighted object is launched at a players head and it barely makes the papers. I know which one I would rather be hit with.

Don’t like that arrangement. They get the important one, we get the League cup one. So Toby’s left out of the big league match but plays in the League cup?? Arses team was pretty incosistent, Xhaka at centre back!?? Arse were 4/1 10 minutes before h/t to win, you wouldn’t av got that when we went 2-1 up in the 2nd half of the league match. I knew then we couldn’t lose. Chelsea and Man City to go…..let’s see if Toby plays from now. He better.
