The 22-year-old is yet to make a Premier League start under Mauricio Pochettino this term and Spurs see a move to Turf Moor as beneficial for him to gain first-team experience at Turf Moor.

Sean Dyche’s side, who are only two places below Tottenham in the league table, have been chasing a winger after seeing their options in that area depleted last month when Republic of Ireland international Robbie Brady underwent knee surgery.

Nkoudou revealed it was advice from ex-Burnley defender and Tottenham team-mate Kieran Trippier that helped sway him over a move to east Lancashire.

“When I spoke with Trippier he told me good things about this club, about the players and everything about Burnley. I am happy to be here, so thank you, Trippier! I think it’s a big opportunity to play my first minutes this season in the Premier League.

“Everyone is shocked because Burnley is just after the big six. They have played very well. I watched the last game against Liverpool when they played very well and were unlucky.

“That’s why I have come here, to find football.

“I knew (Dyche) is a big manager who likes young players and players who go forward, so it suits my character to come here and I am happy to work with him.

“I hope to help the club. If I can, I will. But the last word is with the manager. If he puts me on the pitch I will do everything to help the team go forward. I am ready to play and waiting on the starting blocks. If the manager puts me on the pitch I will to everything on the pitch.”

There is no option for Burnley to buy the player included in the deal. Nkoudou could make his debut against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Dyche has instilled a disciplined defensive unit at Burnley, with a high-intensity work ethic, qualities Tottenham will hope rub off on Nkoudou, who is yet to show some of the grittier attributes Pochettino demands.

Instead, Nkoudou’s opportunities have largely been restricted to domestic cups and appearances off the bench since he joined Spurs from Marseille in August 2016.

The Frenchman capped an encouraging display with a goal against Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League last month but the tie was a dead rubber as his side had already secured first place in the group.

Erik Lamela’s return from injury had also pushed Nkoudou even further down the pecking order.

Tottenham are expected to bring Lamela into their 25-man squad for the Champions League knock-out stages next month and – given their allocation for non-homegrown players was full – Nkoudou was the player most likely to make way.

I doubt that there is one club in The Premier League where one person is responsible for all transfers, we’re in the dark as fans as to who really does what. The only input chairmen should have is regarding finance, WTF does Levy know about football, has he even played the game as a young lad.

    • The Long Good SPURTSday 💋 January 10, 2018 at 3:40 pm

If the basis of your “WTF does Levy know about football …” question is the further question “… has he even played the game as a young lad.” shouldn’t you find out whether he did or not?

By your logic, if he had played as a young lad he’d know something about football and, presumably, you’d accept him as a football club chairman.

    • 61SpursNut🌰 January 10, 2018 at 3:47 pm

AVB never played football at a high level and yet he became a winning manager. There are probably others.

Spurts – I just say it as I see it. Genuinely. I don’t always agree with H. Sometimes I’m having a bit of a laugh too, which I think you miss.
You’re funny sometimes, you’re good to have around.
For what it’s worth, I’m an affable chap in real life, I get on with anyone – not a ‘relentlessly negative’ chap which you seem to assume. If I may say, you get a bit carried away with who said what and people’s characters and what not. Most of us don’t know each other at all. But I tell you one thing – I’d buy you a drink if we were both at one of these blog get-togethers or what not, no questions asked, and I have no doubts that we’d get on as people and Spurs fans, and chew the fat amicably. I agree with Horndog – this is just a blog for opinions and discussing topics from all viewpoints.

I don’t call out opinions, what would be the point? I only challenge speculations when they are posed as facts.

Just one of Camus’ claims that I find particularly amusing (paraphrasing):

Levy buys players without Poch’s consent/approval
Levy forces said players on to Poch
    Poch ‘refuses’ to play them
Levy sells said players on, sometimes at a loss

I shouldn’t need to explain why I find this ludicrous claim so amusing, but I will attempt to with a question:

How long would Poch last under greedy, controlling Levy if any of the claim were true, particularly if Levy loses money as a result?

In other news, the NFL will be announcing the London fixtures for next season tomorrow afternoon at 3.45pm “live from Tottenham Hotspur”.

    • Horndog 🇺🇸 January 10, 2018 at 2:46 pm

Speculation thusly runs rampant. Who’s going to be first to play on the rollout field?

      • MysteriousStranger January 10, 2018 at 3:20 pm

The NFL field is permanent. The football pitch is the one that moves in three pieces, which will sit above the NFL field if that’s what you meant by “rollout field”, HD?

    • Harry Hotspur January 10, 2018 at 2:51 pm

Will both fixtures take long to announce?

      • MysteriousStranger January 10, 2018 at 3:09 pm

There will be more than two games announced so it will cover all the London games. There will be two games at Wembley until through 2020 at least. There was also an agreement with Twickenham which would see a minimum of three and as many as five games played over three years from 2016. Last season there were four London games played at Wembley and Twickenham (two apiece), taking Twickenham’s running total to three with a season remaining on the existing agreement. The agreement with THFC was for a minimum two games at our new stadium, but with Wembley also guaranteed to have two games, and the reasonable likelihood Twickenham will get at least one more, I’d certainly expect just the two games at our new stadium to begin with.

The email I received further states “As we prepare to begin our partnership with Tottenham Hotspur we will again be relying on you to let us know how we can create the best possible fan experience”.

    • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? January 10, 2018 at 3:09 pm

That would suggest they are 1000% on stadium being complete. Any things better than another year at Wembley.

      • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? January 10, 2018 at 3:10 pm

Actually no, scrap that. Theyl just move em to Wembley too.

        • MysteriousStranger January 10, 2018 at 3:31 pm

If there is a chance the build is delayed by a couple of months or so I’d expect them to just schedule the Tottenham games somewhere from mid to late October onwards. As they usually don’t play the first of these games until the last week in September at the very earliest it probably won’t be a major concern.

But but but … Levy picks the players … wah!

    Let me explain.
Each manager gets a couple of choices – so, out of the magnificent 7, AVB chose Paulinho and Bobby. The rest weren’t his choices – even Eriksen. They were bought by a committee headed up by Levy. Lamela was Baldini’s choice, out of interest.
Poch also gets a couple of choices each window – Toby and Wanyama, for example. Duds have been bought that he never wanted – Stambouli, N’Jie, N’Koudou. We can tell this because he never plays them and out they go again. He may get final say on whether we buy a player but if he never plays them even when the squad is under the strain of injuries, we can pretty safely assume he didn’t want them.
He’s more choosy than AVB and has tried to work closer with Levy on signings, but many of his preferred targets don’t materialise (Mussachio, Mane, Barkley etc), and we still end up with players he doesn’t play and sign crud like Sissoko on deadline day.
No doubt you’ll poo-poo all this as fake news, but it’s gathered from various reliable sources and I’m sure H would back up most, if not all, of it.

This is more that fair. It’s the kindest way I’ve had the Bald Weirdo’s dealings explained. Well done, madam.

HAHA! What utter make believe. That’s not an explanation. That’s you failing to support your negative narrative.

What reliable sources? Name them for me, point me to their ‘work’ and I will drop the argument.

With respect, it’s a facile interpretation of what goes on that you can’t support with facts.

        • The Long Good SPURTSday 💋 January 10, 2018 at 2:22 pm

HAHAHA. Disprove something that isn’t there?

The only way to ‘disprove’ Camus’ speculations would be to make my own speculations.

Furthermore, Camus makes the claims, it is up to him to substantiate them.

          That’s how it works.

A bit like Raz and his betting slips: if he can’t prove the win, it didn’t happen.

    • The Long Good SPURTSday 💋 January 10, 2018 at 2:10 pm

      • East Stand January 10, 2018 at 2:13 pm

So Toby and Wanyama were nothing to do with Poch, when he’s previously worked with both and plays them every time when fit and never played the likes of Noclue, Stambouli etc? Sounds like common sense, but let’s not let that cloud things.

        • Freund or Foe January 10, 2018 at 2:16 pm

      I thank you, sir.

      • East Stand January 10, 2018 at 1:44 pm

Spot on Camus, this IS the way it works and explained perfectly.

      • East Stand January 10, 2018 at 1:55 pm

It kind of begs the question of ‘what’s the point?’ in signing players that the manager isn’t likely to either play of find of any use to him or the team?

The board are obviously player trading, although thats why I can’t fathom the Sissy signing. 28, a (reported) 30M deal (but I’ll eat my big toe if we’ll ever pay that).

It looks like Levy splashing transfer funds he already had set aside but obviously fucked up every other deal and had to move in order to try and placate both the fans and manager with one large-ish deal before the window closed.

This show’s you that Levy pleading poverty over who and what we can or can’t afford is probably more expectation management than the reality of what could be afforded if the inclination was there to get things right fro footballing perspective.

Levy is so blinkered by the bottom line that it is to the detriment of his transfer activity. He never speculates to accumulate, not even slightly as he finds it too risky. It is then laughable that you end up with money tied up in signing the manager and no other club with any sense will pay decent money to take off our hands.

So much for being ‘risk averse’, he’s just a nut case…

    • Accy January 10, 2018 at 1:16 pm

      Nailed it.

I’d just like to add that the strategy appears to be largely premised on purposefully and repeatedly failing to acquire primary targets (expensive) in favour of second or third choices (Fazio/Stambouli), punts (N’Koudou/Njie) and currently even panic buying (Sissoko).

      • gloster1861 January 10, 2018 at 1:30 pm

And to Levy’s and the board’s surprise, got into the top three last two years.

Therefore, the strategy appears to be successful as regards generating money. So don’t expect any changes.

    • Sexy Beast January 10, 2018 at 1:32 pm

Because he’d lose his job Ron, he has too take the rough with the smooth, just like in any job. It’s probably tolerable but far from ideal.

            • ronwol196061🇨🇦 January 10, 2018 at 2:17 pm

Poch has a strong position at Tottenham.
Levy would not want to lose him.
The stadium is around the corner.
He can use some of that leverage that he has now.
Yes of course everything is a gamble but successful people put themselves on the line all the time for what they believe.
Europe is still a bit industrial age when it comes to heirarchies and induviduals standing up

    • Horndog 🇺🇸 January 10, 2018 at 1:35 pm

Does this narrative lend credence to the idea that Poch could be a stellar manager, given the results achieved last couple of years with a squad placed in his lap?

      • Camus January 10, 2018 at 1:37 pm

Yes, I’d say so. Tactics and in-game management may need a bit more work though, to get to the very top.

      • ronwol196061🇨🇦 January 10, 2018 at 1:43 pm

Lets not fool ourselves we have some excellent players,a great defence. Some dynamic forwards even thoigh the creative side is lacking in the middle (and I dont mean Eriksen) its a team many could manage.
But as Camus says there are questions there about in game management etc

        • Horndog 🇺🇸 January 10, 2018 at 1:46 pm

Believe me I am not saying we don’t have some excellent players but this discussion about how our squad has been assembled and how we have performed, for me, translates into the positive for Poch’s CV.

          • ronwol196061🇨🇦 January 10, 2018 at 1:52 pm

I would agree with that but Camus is right too re Pochs lack of adaptibility is valid too.

        • Accy January 10, 2018 at 1:50 pm

I think his in-game management is not fantastic, obvs. But when it comes to subs he simply doesn’t have the subs on the bench to make a difference – which is part of the reason why they don’t. Making them late on doesn’t help, but he has his reasons.

I suspect had Janssen turned out to be any cop we would have seen him before the 85th minute in games.

A plan of any sort to change things would be more quality on the bench. Eriksen is playing like a schmuck, you bring on who to replace him? Er…

              • ronwol196061🇨🇦 January 10, 2018 at 2:23 pm

I can tell you that Klopp has been growing, plays elements if our game but is flexible.
                Pep is flexible.
Yes they have more players that could olay more roles.
But Poch at Saints played the same there. Limited

          • East Stand January 10, 2018 at 2:15 pm

Spot on, nothing on the bench really.

        • East Stand January 10, 2018 at 2:06 pm

What’s ‘in game management’ exactly though? Making up to three subs and talking to them or changing things at half time?

Sure, perhaps he could be more proactive compared to some managers but it’s something that is overstated in it’s importance. You work with the team and get them ready before the game, if things aren’t going well you can adjust a few things here and there but rarely does it turn a game.

When it does everyone says “great in game management” for making a sub but when you consider the amount of subs and changes made in game by managers only very few make the difference.

Maureen is supposed to be good at it because it has happened on occasion in some high profiler matches when he’s brought on yet another top quality player that cost a fortune and the’ve done something. He does it a lot, how often does it work and change a game for the better, 15% of the time?

For a start your bench is pretty bloody average, at best…

There’s one other wrinkle to mention. After Poch and levy have had their picks. After 18 months, irrelevant whose picks they were, the successes are deemed by fans to be Poch picks and the w*nkers are deemed to be levy picks. And levy remains reputationus intactus. 😜

After Poch and levy have had their picks

        Nice try 🤣

  • Camus January 10, 2018 at 12:33 pm

    💋

    • Freund or Foe January 10, 2018 at 1:18 pm

Those assumptions are a sure fire way to attribute players that work out well to the manager, and any players that don’t work out as not his choice.

      • Camus January 10, 2018 at 1:29 pm

I’d disagree on that. Eriksen has worked out well (for many of us) but wasn’t AVB’s choice.

        • Willy Juice January 10, 2018 at 1:43 pm

We only got him becoz they fucked up on mouthinio

        • Freund or Foe January 10, 2018 at 1:44 pm

So Foyth, is he a Poch pick? He hasn’t played, even though we’ve struggled in defence with injuries and suspensions. He’s said himself that he has found it difficult since he got here. Or shall we wait and see how he works out before we allocate him as one choice or another?
And Sissoko, clearly not a Poch pick in your eyes, and not good enough in most of ours, yet he’s getting lots of game time, which goes against your suggestion?
You may be completely correct, but at this point I don’t buy it. I tend to go on what the manager actually says, rather than various reliable sources. He’s said that they decide on players together and he gets final say, and he says that players come to train and play if they prove their worth. This opposes your suggestions.

          • ronwol196061🇨🇦 January 10, 2018 at 1:48 pm

Sissoko seems like a Poch pick. He is strong, tackles hard

If Poch plays them it seems he picked them.but its not true in every case.
I mean take Fazio. Would this be a Levy pick?????

            • Camus January 10, 2018 at 1:56 pm

He wanted Mussachio. It dragged on a bit and then we bought Fazio who was much cheaper.

              • ronwol196061🇨🇦 January 10, 2018 at 2:01 pm

Is this the only way Poch can talk to Levy:
                Poch suggests a player
Levy finds a similar cheaper player
                Poch doesnt play him

          • Camus January 10, 2018 at 2:06 pm

Good challenge, mate. Hard to say on Foyth but I’d guess he’s a prospect buy that Poch was happy to have, or wanted – fellow countryman too. Will he play much? We don’t know yet.

Sissoko looks like a player who was offered at the last minute and who Poch took because it was either that or no one. He plays him a lot – probably values his physique and running as a ‘ball carrier’, I imagine. Did he ‘want’ him other than as a last-ditch stop-gap? Probably not. He’s not a well-respected player in the footballing world.

            • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? January 10, 2018 at 2:07 pm

Sissoko has pictures of Poch. Infernal ones.

Poch’s effect on decent players is well documented, the problem now is Levy expects to hand him a succession of budget no hopers and kids out of our nursery and for the same to happen.

Levy is trying to get Poch to do the impossible on the basis that he’ll be able to make money out of old rope…

Poch’s effect on young players is mixed. He made Bonzo a Premier League winner, but Rose has gone backwards and Winks has turned into Ray Wilkins.

Failed at Chavs and Spurs but won a couple of two bob trophies at minted clubs for the level they were at.

He obviously has a certain level of competence but has not proven himself to be capable as a manager in the Premier League. There’s lots of extremely successful Sunday League managers too. Everyone has their level.

In the Premiership he was NOT good enough, why is that so hard to accept?

Don’t know what the attraction with Ar5ana1 is for quality foreign players. Wenger’s lost it, top players are wanting out and you have to play in a library. Must be the Ar5e part of their name that’s getting them in.

  • Panama Paul January 10, 2018 at 8:30 am

Levy really is the Arthur Daley of Football club chairmen.

Well done, my son. A job lot of French parfum – Eau de N’Koudoo – on its way to a salubrious gaff in Burnley. Had to be moved on in case UNICEF or disgruntled flat earthers came looking for him. Wages off the books and a loan fee, a nice little earner. Turned a drain into a gain again!

“In the last few days the press have reported that Poch didn’t want Barkley, Spurs have bigger targets, and that Barkley’s agents got a LOT of money from the Barkley to Chelsea that Levy would never pay…..

Just shows how difficult it is to get stories right…..”

      • Harry Hotspur January 10, 2018 at 8:49 am

Poch didn’t want Barkley who has tremendous stats – and was cheap – yet wanted Sissoko who is 24ct shite and dearer than all the gold in Fort Knox?

Agents get paid – this is spin being put out to give Levy wiggle room.

        • East Stand January 10, 2018 at 9:04 am

I don’t believe that any of our signings other than Toby and Victor had much to do with Poch. After Levy baulked at every other more useful target he ended up moving for Sissy at the 11th hour after running out of options.

          A complete bloody mess…

  • Camus January 10, 2018 at 8:07 am

I’m calling it – The wheels are in motion for Kane’s departure.
You may well see plenty of fake news stories in the coming months, but he’s the most lethal striker out there at the moment and, with Coutinho signed, sealed and delivered, the media will be desperate for Kane to be next.
There’s not a chance that we have a quiet summer with no bids in for him.
Could happen next summer if we make top 4 and he feels he’ll give it one more season. But miss out on top 4…
In any event, I’d not be surprised to see him depart this summer.
We are but innocent bystanders in history taking place.

Ha, textbook! There’s a fanbase out there for Kazaiah Sterling no. 10 shirts, but it only comprises a couple of 12 yr-olds from Woodside High School.

            • East Stand January 10, 2018 at 9:28 am

Ah, but the question is how does Levy redistribute the 180m he squeezes out of Madrid?

    • East Stand January 10, 2018 at 9:34 am

My take on it is that Levy will promise him a move once we are in the new place and after the punters have been hoodwinked into buying Tunnel Club and Cheese Room packages.

In the meantime he signs a 5 year ‘deal’ on more money, much the same as the one Coutinho signed last summer with a secret clause to leave once an acceptable offer comes in from a particular club that comes into effect after so many months.

That way the spin is; “Harry Kane to lead Spurs into the New Destination”, the part they will omit is; “and then piss off to Madrid in search of trophies”.

      • Harry Hotspur January 10, 2018 at 10:34 am

Levy needs Kane to sell corporate packages. I would look for forward selling deals like 2 season packages and lifetime triple mega platinum Jimmy Greave’s comes to your house and blows you with his stroke ravaged mouth deals

  • gloster1861 January 10, 2018 at 7:35 am

I notice Harry Winks is listed as out with ankle injury again. This is recurring every month and he looks like another player whose career might be screwed.

      • Panama Paul January 10, 2018 at 8:34 am

The only reinforcement our midfield is likely to get in January is a new truss for Dembele.

      • East Stand January 10, 2018 at 9:22 am

Yeah, dream on Glost. That’s common sense, Levy doesn’t do common sense unless it’s to do with concrete pouring…

    • Accy January 10, 2018 at 8:18 am

He’s only out til the 13th according to physioroom. not serious?

    • Harry Hotspur January 10, 2018 at 8:59 am

Winks’ is having trouble staying fit – not robust English ugh for the physical demands of Premier Football?

      • East Stand January 10, 2018 at 9:26 am

He’s a bit lightweight, most of these academy players have good skills and technique but the thing that can stop them becoming top players is often one or two issues.

Edward’s should be in a straight jacket and Winks is too lightweight, you need the whole package to make it.

        • Sexy Beast January 9, 2018 at 11:30 pm

Problem is Kane is the best no 9 on the planet and would grace any side in the world, if Levy don’t back Pooch then he will be fed up playing for top 4 and maybe the odd League cup win every 3 years, also a real chance of no UCL next season.
Who would blame him for wanting to play in a side that really competes for the top prizes? and get paid double what he earns at Spurs!

          • AntSpurs January 9, 2018 at 11:41 pm

He certainly is. Real couldn’t afford him unless we wanted Bale, Kovacic, Modric and Isco. That isn’t happening and Barca wouldn’t go for him yet so even if he fancied a move, it won’t be to Spain.

    Real Fan?
    No. Propaganda would be:
“ENIC will show some ambition this window and next.”
What I wrote is different from that.
We spent £80m on 4 players in the summer, including £40m on Sanchez.
We sold Walker for £50m (and got £17m for Wimmer and Bentaleb ffs).
We can spend a decent sum on 1 player – we know full well that ENIC will look to offset it with sales. But if people think that Dembele is finished or Alli is shit or Dier is over-rated, then we COULD sell and still improve the squad.

Sell Dele Alli? Are you crazy RF? The boy is on Messi’s wish list for a reason, he is a top player now (if a little inconsistent) but will be world class in the not to distant future, we simply cannot just go out and replace him with cash especially as we won’t offer wages to a new signing that they will want.
Also the graph put up showing that we had spent £400k a year net for the last 5 years tells us all how this window will end…….
Telling that Sissoko is up for grabs at £30M, Pooch has both hands tied behind his back and a ball and chain on one ankle.
Am i the only one that feels like being a Spurs supporter is a fucking curse for life?

Wages are always going to be the deal breakers. And even in the New Destination, gate money won’t impact our ability to pay by that much in comparison to otjrt revenue streams, namely TV monies, sponsorships, and commercial sales.

You need success to boost those three significantly, and that means investment first to gain that success.

    • East Stand January 9, 2018 at 10:08 pm

Hunt for three thugs who attacked a man dressed as a penguin and his father on a train after shouting ‘do you support Tottenham Hotspur’

I’m intrigued by the thought process (or lack of). He’s dressed as a penguin so he supports Spurs?

I think he can do something for the fans. The Tottenham fans have to suffer time and time again while competition improves and there seems no will to do so.
        We have been starved.
Arse really upgraded. They are not always great and we beg them to sell Sanchez so we dont have to endure more of the great coherent footie that they, attack wise play.
Liverpool we thought they were done but they have never lost the spirit to come back.
That place in the Northwest..Manchester…1 super fantastic team and one good one and 2 of the best managers in the world.
And we are sitting with Harry Kane dellusional and paranoid that we will lose him for lack of giving him what he needs.

We are walking s fine line here it should be said

        • Real Fan? January 9, 2018 at 5:13 pm

I agree 100%. ENIC have to show some ambition this window and next. Simple as that. Enough of the youthful ‘prospects’, we need proven talent to really improve the squad. If we see players leave (eg Alli, Dier) because they’re not willing to wait around and see if the project succeeds on their current wages, they must be replaced with proper talent. The wage ceiling must continue to be lifted, even if it’s going to be kept lower than our ‘richer’ rivals.

Poch will deliver silverware with this squad, if it is continually upgraded. Keeping these players together is also something that has value: other teams buying 4, 5 or 6 players at a time that need integrating find it difficult and a few fall by the wayside. We need a quality addition this window and a few more in the summer.

          • Ronwol1960-61 January 9, 2018 at 5:32 pm

We are building an amazing stadium. We have Kane. Levy must understand that to sell Tottenham to the Americans (ok we have 3 or 4 here) WE have to have a team fitting such a venue and playing quality footie. Those not attached to a team for some intrinsic point (their roots) why would they want to go through the pain????
The line we are walking is very very thin. The competition is fierce. WE could easily get jammed in with No Poch,No Kane etc and what do we become????
Swansea with nice stadium. Its what we always were.
We live in hope. Meanwhile Levy in his limitations and being supported by Poch’s false loyalty instead of his confrontation beased on what he needs just leaves a smug barrier around Levy.
WE see one name on News Now nd go looking on YOu Tube actually willing that player to come when we and he has no intention of doing so. So Levy stays in his comfort zone,POch keeps his job and we as thirsty as we are get little water

          • Harry Hotspur January 9, 2018 at 5:44 pm

I agree 100%. ENIC have to show some ambition this window and next.

            Oh please, give it up.

            17 years of nothing.

            This is propaganda.

            • Real Fan? January 9, 2018 at 6:11 pm

              • Harry Hotspur January 9, 2018 at 6:15 pm

                Nah.

                I read what you wrote.

                Thanks, though.

Will the real Poch please stand up. This is much more relevant.
Poch has power. If he threatened to leave they would all leave

        • Real Fan? January 9, 2018 at 5:14 pm

But if he then stayed they’d be no-one left to coach. This needs rethinking.

          • Ronwol1960-61 January 9, 2018 at 5:35 pm

AS you know RF I’m talking about forcing Levys hand and yes gambling.

            • Real Fan? January 9, 2018 at 6:14 pm

Yes, but who knows what happens behind closed doors? Did Poch insist on Sanchez? I’m glad it’s not dragged through the press.

              • Harry Hotspur January 9, 2018 at 6:17 pm

You’re just glad so little is in the public domain…

              • ronwol196061 January 9, 2018 at 6:38 pm

WE dont know do we RF. WE probably will never know. But in my opinion Liverpool has much more intent that us to compete.
The wages issue is huge too. Or is Levy thinking he will ride it as long as he can
                Its an indication

                • Real Fan? January 9, 2018 at 7:16 pm

We will see when the next round of contract negotiations happen what the figures will be. £200k basic for HK sounds alright. What if several of the others head north of £100k – £125k too? We won’t be so, so far away.
