Contract Updates To Make Any* Fans’ Heart Sing

By The Boy -

…*IF YOU’RE A LIVERPOOL FAN!

I caught sight of this list earlier, and felt it was worth sharing.

You can moan, you can deride, debase and dismiss all you want, but Liverpool are top of the post Christmas Premier League pops.

Manchester United are back in business and the Spurs squad is decimated.

Christian Eriksen’s deal runs out on 2020.

I am more worried that they will not fear leaving the back door open, will set up to attack at all costs and we will simply not be able to stop them. Even worst case could be they score and we go to extra time (or is it direct to penalties?)

Yes with both Hazard and Willian cashing in!

I doubt we will fail to score in both, but could well lose both. We usually do lose at Chelsea, last year bucked that almost lifelong trend. Fulham are due a win and have been playing not too badly but losing. Not a great situation, can’t see an easy way out of it and Poch is not going to say he need to buy as the price goes up by 50%.

I think if we fail to score at Fulham then our whole “B” team need to be scrapped (Llorente, Moura and Lamela). Then we just need to defend them out. Chelski I see us losing that miserably.

IMO Both Kane and Son’s absence is disastrous where I can see us losing to both Fulham and Chelski respectively.

Always thought a youth player would be the answer we received over the Kane issue, I am not sure Sterling has it though. Not seen a lot of him, but when I did see him, he looked greedy and a bit light weight.

I would like to see a loan player for Kane cover, and as for DeJong, there is no way in hell we get him. If he wants PL he will go to City, if he wants money then PSG and silverware Barca… we offer very little.

“at the moment there is no player…” we are almost out the window, you may as well set in stone that its not happening. No purchases. As for Kane injury not impacting our plans, it shouldn’t, we needed cover before, now we still need cover!

Good Evening Fellow Depressives. Let me be frank about all this. We have all seen the debacle slowly but surely gather pace, we know how 666 operates and yet Botch comes out with the same old diatribe regarding ‘The Market ‘, Botch took the money and toed the Company Line and you can make as many excuses for him as you like because I believe he is complicit in the whole shambles and is being well looked after by 666.

I think and feel that Poch is saying “NO” to any old crap being pushed his way by Levy. He wants very specific players. De Jong being one of them. De Jong is still to make his mind up between Barca, PSG and Spurs – although it’s unclear how much we are in the running. We have said we will match PSG’s bid (£67m).

Timo Werner may only be available in the summer, but would be a stellar addition that we are apparently looking into.

(source for both, SC)

Isco rumours doing the rounds again. Madrid and Eriksen could hold the key to all that. Again, can’t see Eriksen heading off until summer.

So, I’m relaxed in that we’re not just bringing in any old iron, and mildly concerned at what it means in the short term given the competitions coming up and key injuries this season.

I’m with Poch.

Liverpool don’t dick around with the players they want to keep by putting them through excruciating contract negotiations whereas Levy acts like he’s running a pawn shop when he has to pay market rate.

On Kane’s injury Poch said: “It is not going to change our mind. We are open to adding to our squad but that is not going to put pressure on us to sign.
“The market is very difficult. If we find the player that is going to help us and add quality we are more than open to make that happen. At the minute there is no player.”

– Same old same old spin: “The market is very difficult! —

What has Levy got on old Daddy Joe Lewis? Levy owns a significant portion of the club and get s a whopping wage on top. Of all the info above, the thing that stands out to me is the ‘highest paid director @ 914,000. B
I know Spurs have made more profit than Liverpool in recent times off the back of lower turnover ( would be interested to see how our figures compare to theirs with their global fan base of Grief Junkies) but Levy gets mega bucks in the order of 6-7 million a year on top of the 30% ownership of the club.
The Levy Family will sleep well on on that little earner fora good while to come.

The profit was entirely due to the sale of Coutinho to Barcelona, otherwise it would have been a loss in excess of #125 million

FSG may have done everything they can to try and push Klopp’s side over the line to a league title .. while enlarging Anfield and remaining largely free of debt.

But will they have a tunnel club and John W Henry Suite to show for it?

Apparently we are linked with Dzenko now…really!?!?! I think we would be better sticking with Lamela.
