Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on appointing Brendan Rodgers as their manager.
The 50-year-old was recently sacked by Leicester City and he is currently out of a job. As reported by Football Insider, contact is being made with the former Liverpool manager regarding the managerial vacancy at the North London club.
The report further states that Rodgers has a good chance of getting the Tottenham job.
Rodgers has shown his quality with Celtic, Swansea, and Liverpool in the past and he did a good job at Leicester before this season. He could prove to be an interesting addition to Spurs.
Tottenham have a number of quality attackers at their disposal and they could thrive in Rodgers’ high-intensity attacking system.
The likes of Celtic, Swansea, Liverpool, and Leicester have all played an attractive brand of attacking football under him and the 50-year-old could excite the Tottenham fans with his style of play next season. Rodgers would be an inexpensive appointment because he is out of a job.
Spurs have been linked with other managers like Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino as well. It will be interesting to see who comes in to replace Antonio Conte eventually.
Rodgers was linked with a move to Tottenham back when the London club sacked Harry Redknapp, however, the Northern Irishman chose to join Liverpool instead.
It remains to be seen whether he is ready to accept the job this time around if the London club comes forward with an official proposal.
