Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris could be out for two weeks with an adductor injury, France manager Didier Deschamps has claimed.

Deschamps told a media conference on Thursday that Lloris suffered the injury in Tottenham’s memorable 3-1 Champions League win over Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Tottenham have yet to comment on the claim, but Deschamps was quoted by L’Equipe as saying: “He has undergone tests this morning, he’ll be out for at least a fortnight.”

Were that to be true, he would miss Tottenham’s meeting with Crystal Palace this weekend, France’s friendlies with Wales and Germany and be a huge doubt for the North London derby on November 18.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will likely address the situation at his pre-Palace press conference on Friday.

Annoyingly I have a feeling Eriksen may be rested as a favour – he’s got 2 very important internationals coming up so will be playing at least 180 minutes of international football.

Not sure Poch will be doing Kane and England the same favour. Dembele owes us 90 minutes

Once upon a time not so long ago:

Christian was down in the dumps, Dele’s been on strike,
He’s down on his luck, it’s tough, so tough…
Levy worked the diner all day, working for his man,
He brought home his pay for Joe, for Joe

We’ve got to hold on to what we’ve got,
It doesn’t make a difference if we’re at Wembley or not,
We’ve got each other and that’s a lot for love,

    WE’LL GIVE IT A SHOT
    Woah, we’re half way there
    Woah, livin’ on a prayer
Take my hand, we’ll make it I swear
    Woah, livin’ on a prayer

Harry’s got his hamstring in hock
Now he’s holding in what he used to make it talk
    So tough, it’s tough
    Gladys dreams of running away
When she cries in the night,
    Baby, it’s okay, someday….

Oh what a night , still buzzing off that. Beautiful performance.

Good night all. Midnight in Perth, time for some shut eye.

My dear old mum always told me to follow my dream. So I did and went back to bed.

Watching one of them meet and speak things with Mabs and Hoddle just before Poch took over. Interesting what Glenn had to say about when he took the Spurs job he regretted letting his heart rule his head cos he compromised on some of the politics, Pleat director of football etc. Interesting too, question asked, with these managers all struggling to get anywhere could it be the problem is the chairman rather than the managers. That got biggest applause along with Hoddle saying Redknapp should not av been sacked.

If only we’d stuck with Redknapp. Can you imagine where we’d be by now?

Or Sherwood and his coaching staff:

I maintain that summer if Harry had stayed and Levy backed him with money for a real class centre forward we’d av gone close that season to the title. F.a. cup perhaps? We’ll never know.

Lloris’ groin strain … temperamental injury. Could be stretched out in 10 or so days, or could linger. Tricky injury for a springing keeper.

    • Panama Paul November 3, 2017 at 4:02 pm

Groin strain. bad news for Mme Lloris as well then 🙂

I think the first NLD of the season is absolutely crucial. A win for Spurs and the Gooners will really know that they are up against it for the rest of the season. We don’t want to give them false hope. Toby is probably the major doubt.

          Just asked the chef.

Gordon says “F#@& *$$!!” or words to that effect.

Yeah? Tell him I’ll smash his pock-marked faux hard-man whiny twat, face in, or words to *that* effect.

  • Ufluckinplic November 3, 2017 at 3:12 pm

For meaningless friendlies with a national coach way out of his depth I’d have all the spurs players (ahem) injured.

    • Panama Paul November 3, 2017 at 3:58 pm

Time for some player power. Just say no to meaningless friendlies and boycott them. I’m sure that there are plenty of Championship and League One footballers who would jump at the chance to become an England international. Under Southgate I doubt that there would be any noticeable drop in performance.

  • Spurs est_1882 November 3, 2017 at 3:05 pm

🙁 I am more concerned about the NLD, I hope he makes it back in time, hope they both do. Any chance of all the Spurs team faking an injury to get out of International duty…just to keep them safe.
