Thank goodness the football is out of the way and we can now press ahead with the stuff that really gets our pulses racing – gossip.

The Sun are just one of many running with the ‘Pochettino To Chelsea’ story, but does it have any legs?

I spoke to Gladys early this morning who has confirmed that the threat is real and Chelsea could be the tip of the iceberg.

In fact, she joked that if things carry on the way they are heading right now, Levy may as well call the New Destination™ the Titanic Arena.

The dressing room is in state of complete and utter confusion and Pochettino was forced into going public as there has been very little in the way of meaningful dialogue between the pair for some time.

This appears to be Levy’s modus operandi by the way.

Whilst he buries himself in the minutae of the stadium planning, he completely absents himself from all footballing matters.

Pochettino is the worst kept secret in football right now and our illustrious CEO is sorely mistaken if he believes a pay rise will keep Poch onside.

The Argentine is a modest man, but he is aware that the watching world things he has achieved miracles, despite the appalling conditions he has had to work under.

Mauricio has defeated distracted players who want better terms, bad players inflicted upon him that he never asked for, and still he has delivered qualification for the world’s most prestigious club competition.

This is new territory for Levy, he’s only had to deal with mediocre managers in the past and he has never had to manage success before.

The closest he has come in the past was the League cup win in 2008, and you will recall that team had virtually disbanded before the bus pulled up back outside The Lane.

Horndog you honestly believe Levy would spend 30 million on Sissoko if the manager did want him or ask for him? Never. And equally do you honestly believe would have known vincent existed. He was found by the scouting team which reports to poch.

    Enough.

  • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 3:52 pm

Poch wanted to sign both Sissoko and Vincent. Levy has been busy with the stadium and the window does not open for quite a while yet, we needed to end the season to understand budgets based on quali or not quali for CL, hence little dialogue has talen place. Of course Poch will be a wanted man because the whole world can see we have made great progress as a club the last 3 years.

    This is bullshit.

If you want to peddle bullshit, there are many other sites, blogs etc available.

    • Ahole May 15, 2018 at 4:14 pm

I like this site Harry its great. I do have an opinion though and its not always the same as yours. It often is.

      • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 4:28 pm

I love opinions, but misinformation cannot be passed off as fact on here.

If I posted comments saying people from Austria were educationally subnormal, that wouldn’t be an opinion I could support.

        So it would be misinformation.

If you think Poch asked for/approved Sissy by all means say that’s what you think.

Every piece of info I have ever heard says this is fiction.

If Poch approved all these dungheaps, why is presenting ENIC with this colossal ultimatum?

        Makes no sense.

        • Ahole May 15, 2018 at 4:38 pm

But it does make sense to me Harry and that opinion is different to yours. That’s ok isn’t it?

I can’t see it either, but it’s all good leverage for him.

  • Ahole May 15, 2018 at 3:01 pm

Harry near the end of your piece you mention the S word success. So if Levy now has to manage the success have we been successful under Levy?

    • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 3:51 pm

IF Spurs reinforce and give Pochettino a fighting chance, opposed to weight him down with dog shit, success is a possibility.

This season wasn’t a success we didn’t win anything.

      It was however, a miracle.

      • Ahole May 15, 2018 at 4:50 pm

Harry you did mention that Levy now had to manage success in your article. I assumed you meant we had been a success in that case? Aside, many do measure top 4 as a success, many measure that a bigger success than a domestic cup. We have finished top 3 last three seasons and each year above clubs who have a much larger spend and one year below one club with a smaller budget than us. So we are successful and the recent 3 seasons proves yet again that throwing money at it doesnt always guarantee you move forward always. Sustained money like City and Chelsea will buy you trophies. But we have finished above them over a season 2-3 times recently while they were spending all that money.

        • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 4:55 pm

          You should watch my video.

In it I say we are going to war.

There will be casualties and there are no guarantees we will win.

          Oh!

          Now you don’t have to…

If you are any doubt about what success looks like – open 2 tabs in your browser.

Put THFC Wiki in one, and scroll down to ‘Honours’.

Then, in the other tab, do the same to any other club in England.

          Compare.

Then would you mind awfully talking to other people, you’re covering stuff I’ve been over 1000 times – whist summarily ignoring the last presser by our current manager.

  • Camus May 15, 2018 at 3:00 pm

        Clue with Sissoko

        Incessant playing him HD

        • Horndog 🇺🇸 May 15, 2018 at 3:15 pm

Don’t buy it, I think Sissoko was shoved up his back side. When he has injuries or he has to rotate, to avoid fatigue, he has few choices.

          • ronwol96061 May 15, 2018 at 3:45 pm

How many times did he play Sissoko? I dont buy it either HD
            30 mil he cost.

Just my opinion fellas, not saying I am right. I am allowed to think for myself.

  • Lilywhite May 15, 2018 at 2:49 pm

I’ve been thinking lately that while several areas require reinforcing, re-signing, etc., at a very bare minimum, we could improve if we do two things: 1) retain/re-sign our best players and manager; and 2) sign Jamie Vardy.

I know, more is required than the above and Vardy doesn’t look very Spurs. But hypothetically, an expansion of our pay structure that keeps our best and brings in a proven PL goal scorer would provide decent bang for Daniel’s buck, as opposed to culling a big chunk of the squad (including starters) only to replace w random Euro trash and, of course, keeping Sissoko.

    • James147 May 15, 2018 at 3:15 pm

Can’t see Vardy coming but would like him. Our buildup can be laboured at times and the option of a quick ball over the top would be great. A la Dier to Alli at Stamford Bridge.

He has indeed. But he has earned that leverage.
This is all down to Joe Lewis now.
He messed up when not investing modest money (by
oil money FC standards) for transfer fees before the UEFA FFP stuff
(when again the club were on the brink of a big breakthrough) .
As many have said over the years, for a man who made his fortune
and legend on one the riskiest ventures ever done on the financial
markets, when it comes to Spurs he behaves like a small business
manager in a rural branch of a high st bank.

    100%

How lovely for the residents of Fulham. Four years of noise and dust, and it’s a little more upmarket in SW6 compared to N17.

No word of a lie, I’ve just seen Poch filling up his little Bentley 4×4 at a petrol station. Skinny jeans TShirt and mirrored Aviators. He looks well “berry appy” even.

      • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? May 15, 2018 at 1:33 pm

  • Panama Paul May 15, 2018 at 1:05 pm

A Spurs end of season discussion has been remarkably consistent over the years. The three key questions are:

    1. Will Daniel/ Joe get the wallet out?

    2. Will our current manager be here next season?

    3. Will our best player/s be here next season? (3a. If not, how much are they worth and how much will we get?)

If Poch was going to walk, then Chelsea would be an attractive prospect with their quality Academy, especially if Roman is reining in the spending, although Roman would also be looking out for marquee signings to placate the fans unhappy about the financial clout shifting north. The only serious issue for Poch is whether the stench of JT has left the building.

    • gloster1861 May 15, 2018 at 1:07 pm

The stench of Terry and the racist echoes are a good reason to demolish the Fridge and build the replacement.

      • Panama Paul May 15, 2018 at 1:08 pm

And, like Spurs, there’s the prospect of a shiny new stadium down the track. It’ll be deja vu all over again.

      • gloster1861 May 15, 2018 at 1:09 pm

However, will Pochettino really want to go through the the purgatory of managing Chelsea at Wembley? Back there again, feck it!

Or is that part of the attraction of hiring Pochettino, that he’s done damn well at the soulless national stadium this season?

        • Panama Paul May 15, 2018 at 1:10 pm

Good question. I don’t think the experience would daunt Poch although it might take the project a bit longer to gather momentum. And we all know that Roman is not a patient man.

          • gloster1861 May 15, 2018 at 1:13 pm

This is true. Pochettino would need assurances that he’ll get three seasons and that won’t happen. I’m hoping so anyway. I think Roman may be adapting to life as he isn’t the richest sugar daddy on the block any longer.

            • Panama Paul May 15, 2018 at 1:16 pm

Hypothetical question. If Poch had stayed at Southampton and he was able to replicate his Spurs achievements after 4 years, including having is best players poached, and Saints were in the third year running of CL, would the Saints board back him and get the quality players he needed to take the club to the next level? Or did he know the answer and gambled on Spurs?

              • Gus May 15, 2018 at 1:20 pm

They’d already sold a bunch of their best players by the time he left hadn’t they?

  • Camus May 15, 2018 at 12:30 pm

It did strike me as odd that Levy made no mention at all of next season’s footballing ambitions in his end of season memo, no mention of adding players to the squad “in key areas” which is the kind of stuff he’s paddled out before. No mention either of the CL campaign to come. Just some stuff about finishing the stadium and how there will be pop concerts there soon.

    Perhaps this is why.
Maybe the project is finito and Poch has put an ad out.

Year ago I said Spurs are a club on the brink. Got the few usual snide remarks. If ENIC don’t nurture Poch and this bunch after tearing down our home and building the amphitheatre of cheese we could find ourselves in a disaster. This is the situation we can’t have. Lose our manager now, especially to a rival, a fissure will be created down through the heart of the club. Levy needs to get this sorted.

    • Gus May 15, 2018 at 12:18 pm

  • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 12:04 pm

Now the cards seem to be on the table, there is no real need for hype. If they negotiate within a short time, the summer, everything will be measurable. (Les Measurable) We will know exactly what happened and is happening, unless Poc decides to chill a bit. I hope he goes 100% for what he needs.

    • Gus May 15, 2018 at 12:06 pm

Yup, go for broke now. If ENIC let him walk there will be riots in N17. The cheese will be very stiff indeed

      • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 12:08 pm

Levy will lose the players, lose the fans and have to pay through the nose for any half decent manager who would want exactly what Poch wants unless they are happy to be Leyton Orient in the huge fucking stadium

        • Gus May 15, 2018 at 12:11 pm

It’s false economy Ron. I’m watching a replay of the golden state warriors beating houston. Their level of success has made them a global brand and when they move into their new stadium they will be free to charge any price and the people will pay happily

          • Gus May 15, 2018 at 12:12 pm

Success breeds success and untold riches

          • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 12:13 pm

Its a different situation there in the States. The worst team gets the best draft picks. The Warriors were shit forever.
Our game is different. Its pay to play.

            • Gus May 15, 2018 at 12:15 pm

I know it’s not perfect. But I expect them to suffer luxury taxes to keep this team together for years to come. The profits will easily pay for it

              • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 12:17 pm

In the US every team has a chance and the leagues are kept strong by the sports admin. In Footie you could pay a billion but could find yourself in the bottom division.

                • Gus May 15, 2018 at 12:20 pm

It is so hard to build a successful team. Once you have it the next challenge is maintaining it. This is ENICs challenge now

                  • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 12:25 pm

Yes they were obviously happy with slow growth,it was more manageable for them.
The problem also is the competition. There are now a bunch of teams at the top and others fighting to be.there are not enough spots. You are either in ir you are not. Somehow Poch managed to compete. I also think the way it was going we were going to run out of luck. Players want a change etc,you buy a player who may or may not work out. Its hard to compete with bottomless cups

    • QQ May 15, 2018 at 12:24 pm

Pochettino has set the reasonable spectrum of debate.
At one end is the current regime, at the other is the oil money FC or
Man Utd silly money transfer/wage business.

He is not saying the latter is currently possible for Spurs,
but he is saying the current regime cannot take things drastically further.

So he has “crazy” ideas within that spectrum, that he wishes to
discuss with ENIC. Which will probably be transfer dealings
(the long summers of Levying) , to wages (what reasonable increases
are possible based on the known/projected state of the club finances) .

      • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 12:31 pm

He has forced debate. He also has the leverage to go elsewhere. So its about how hard he is prepared to push it. They cant afford to lose him right now.Its a critical time.I think he should push it to the limit.
Yes they will survive of course but it will be a lot of aggravation is their golden jewel to show the world and they will look stupid. Plus it will take years to get back to where they are now and they would have to spend anyway. It cost an extra 300 mil or whatever for the stadium..this will be another 100 to put everything on schedule otherwise 10 years of turnoil.
Its the perfect time for Poch to go all the way

        • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 12:32 pm

The stadium is their golden jewel should have been in there

        • QQ May 15, 2018 at 12:42 pm

He has indeed. But he has earned that leverage.

This is all down to Joe Lewis now.

He messed up when not investing modest money (by
oil money FC standards) for transfer fees before the UEFA FFP stuff
(when again the club were on the brink of a big breakthrough) .

As many have said over the years, for a man who made his fortune
and legend on one the riskiest ventures ever done on the financial
markets, when it comes to Spurs he behaves like a small business
manager in a rural branch of a high st bank.

          • Accy May 15, 2018 at 1:14 pm

            He behaves like a cadaver.

      • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 12:38 pm

He’s told ENIC the jig is up, I can’t keep telling everyone I’m building and hitting the share button on roof cassettes video… I need to manage a team.

  • Gus May 15, 2018 at 12:04 pm

Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:43 am
I don’t think £100m or £150m would touch the sides.

It’s not just the transfer kitty Harry. It’s the wage structure, so current players get paid closer to market wages

    • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 12:06 pm

Precisely – a lump sum is the territory of the red tops ‘POCHS £200M WAR CHEST’

aka a total waste of time.

Secure Toby and start acting like men, opposed to accountants. Build a damn football team.

And no more French shite! 😆

        Oui oui!

  • Gus May 15, 2018 at 12:00 pm

I think Poch is an honourable man and wants to stay. I’m just not sure ENIC will do what’s required to compel him to stay

    • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 12:01 pm

Whats dishonourable about leaving when you are not getting what you need?

      • Gus May 15, 2018 at 12:03 pm

Nothing. That’s what I’m saying Ron, if they show loyalty by offering support for his on field ambitions, I think he’ll stay

        • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 12:05 pm

          No loyalty Gus. Just negotiation.

          • Gus May 15, 2018 at 12:09 pm

If they reach his bottom line he’ll stay. If not the only thing we can hope for is he leaves England

            • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 12:11 pm

I hope he stays in England and fucks Levy by winning things
I really mean that. I respect Poch for what he did. He is forcing them to decide who they are. I want to hear who they are.

              • Gus May 15, 2018 at 12:13 pm

Chelsea? I think I just threw up in my mouth

If that doesn’t work they will put his kids in the boot of a car with a sack of baby alligators.

This is from Spurs Community and there is a similar notice on COYS

THE GOLDEN RULE: ITK Bashing will result in loss of access. Please do not question ITK’s, they say what they say, sometimes some clarity is left out for a good reason. Abuse/Bash ITK and you’re out on your ear and you will not be allowed back in.

Please bare in mind I am utterly deranged and will not employ the ‘Golden Rule’ with as much compassion as those other sites.

    Thank you.

    • QQ May 15, 2018 at 11:59 am

The ZEROTH rule of ITK :

The more DETAILED the claims are, the LESS the ITK really is.

      Been proven in the past.
Especially for Spurs Community, when a REAL ITK graced them with
their presence and they collectively could not handle the fact their
collective “ITK” was a fraction of the reality.

      • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 12:02 pm

The best itk I have ever had has never been published on here because it was all ‘mood music’ that framed everything else. That stuff is the gold.

‘Barry Balkan to sign at 4pm next Tuesday’ never pans out. Never.

        • QQ May 15, 2018 at 12:11 pm

There is a fair bit of ITK info may never be published (if ever – perhaps well
after the event) , because that info will quickly identify the source (and the
consequences for that person – breach of contract etc) .

          • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 12:36 pm

Precisely. If only 3 people know… it like Reservoir Dogs when he say’s ‘I’m pretty fuckin sure HE’S telling the truth’ whilst point Tim Roth who’s writhing in blood..

  • Coogy May 15, 2018 at 11:50 am

Whenever a team goes out and buys upwards of four players, they have a shit season and it snowballs from there.

    • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 11:53 am

We are going to buy 3 x 2 times

    • Ronan May 15, 2018 at 11:54 am

What sort of season do they have if they sell Dembele, Toby and Rose, knowing Sonny will be away til Oct and then again in January?

      • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:55 am

Is the answer ‘a short one?’

        • Ronan May 15, 2018 at 11:57 am

‘Transitional’, according to whichever coach will be in place.

          • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:58 am

            Transfusional 😄 more like

    • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:54 am

This is precisely why Toby must be kept for starters.

    • Gus May 15, 2018 at 11:55 am

We don’t need 4 new core players. We need Toby to stay, a quality creative MF and a striker to pair with Harry. One or two more credible reserves for the bench

      • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:57 am

The word credible is the most important.

        No more cheapjack French shite.

F*ck me we seriously signed some absolute muck and none of it has worked. You really would think Levy would give it up and go and run some care homes so he could really get his teeth into killing people slowly.

        • Gus May 15, 2018 at 11:58 am

He’s already made a career out of killing our spirits!

  • jvd May 15, 2018 at 11:47 am

Your dislike for Levy is clouding your thinking, IMHO. Poch is a very loyal man and would never consider a move to Chelsea or Arsenal just as he would never consider a position with Barcelona because of his history at Espanyol. Methinks you are reading Gladys’ tea leaves, unfortunately she is using decaf tea these days. Doctor’s orders.

    • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:48 am

You might wish to take a few moments to watch his latest presser, opposed to inventing stuff.

      And that’s itk bothering.

      Toodles x

    • Gus May 15, 2018 at 11:48 am

He’s not adverse to leaving when he feels their ambition doesn’t match his. Remember Poch left Soton for us

    • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 11:50 am

You are about 4 weeks behind mate

  • Gus May 15, 2018 at 11:44 am

Does anyone think DL and uncle Joe feel any pressure to make a deal now Poch has called them out? Who fill blink first? I don’t think they will want to fire Poch. The question is if their desire to win doesn’t match his, will Poch walk out the door?

    • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:47 am

Poch cannot possibly stay unless some significant stuff is very visible externally…

      1. Toby gets a deal.
      2. Stop buying defective French shit
      3. Reinforce
      4. Succession planning

    • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 11:48 am

Its all about Poch now,not them. They dont know what poch will do so they will try to find out quickly. Then they have to make as decision. I think Levy will freeze,Joe will pay.

      • Gus May 15, 2018 at 11:53 am

Funny how quick this developed. 6 weeks ago Poch played the good soldier. Once he nailed down UCL football for next season he’s suddenly showing a big pair of bollocks

        • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 11:55 am

Yes we all try and figure out whats happening at any given time. Whats going on in Pochs head is still a question. Does he have a gig? How far will he go with Levy?
Levy doesnt know that and Poch has the cards now.

  • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:43 am

I don’t think £100m or £150m would touch the sides.

Poch doesn’t want to be patronised here. He wants to build.

Unlike all the previous guano we’ve had to wade through that requires an ongoing strategy. Splurges do not work.

    • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 11:44 am

We will know soon enough Harry. This is one thing that can be measured

  • Billy Skehan May 15, 2018 at 11:43 am

So here we are. Crunch time. What does our beloved leader do? Goes and makes another bad decision. What he can’t get his head around is if he doesn’t get a quality team on the pitch, that ground becomes a very big problem for spurs. Furthermore what’s the point of building it if doesn’t enable you to pay the going rate in wages and the transfer fees for people who can take us to the next level? Basically it’s an asset for the resale same as everything else that little bald twat does, and he’s got a perfect way out when he and poch go their separate ways, probably this week, because the better players will want to leave, he can sell them. Generate 400m or so, give howe or dyche 20m to spend and uncle Joe gets a new van gogh. Wake up people, this human turd has no interest in Our football clyb

    • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:51 am

He’s zero interest on Spurs. We may as well be a coffee bean company.

  • richspurs May 15, 2018 at 11:42 am

Gladys is a knob. Been wrong before. Head still stuck in the Voxie radiator.
I think Levy will stump up. He and Joe know the stakes are high. He did pay up for Sanchie, Oreo and Foyth. Pocho thinks so, in my opinion, just a gut feel. We will make some beeeg signings. Not sure if we will keep Tobes though.

    • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:44 am

      Gladys never claimed to infallible.

However that’s it bothering so you enjoy your month off.

    • Elevenstonedidiots May 15, 2018 at 11:45 am

Come on man Oreo is a PSG cast off & Foyth, I am not sure what the reason was behind buying him. Did he come as part of a THFC ‘make a dream come true’ initiative?

  • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 11:31 am

I always said Poch had the cards and probably this is the exact time to play them (Unless he has already left the building) . There are no others that could force the issue except for Joe (and Levys been managing his money pretty well) and the fans.(and they are too greedy to give up their seats). Poch was the only one. His timing is perfect. The stadium is nearly done,we have reached 3rd x 3 times and so its all in Pochs favour. Add into the schmorgasboard the rumours. Add into it the fact that any and all of the players could leave then there isnt a better perfect storm for Levy.

Its true of what Aristotle said regarding Levy and the way he might have been thinking…keeping things where they are and trading like for like in Managers and players. But now the timing is critical and I dont even think Levy can deal with this. Sure he will try to placate Poch.Give it 5 minutes to convince him what he should be doing and crying about he has no money etc but I think he will soon realize that he doesnt have it to deal with this. Joe on the other hand when there was a problem with Redknapp if I remember the old age pensioner brought his Aviva up the Thames from the Bahamas to sort that out. So I expect Joe will be the one who deals with it and throws in 100 mil into the equation. It will be cheap for him in the long run.

    • Ronwol196061 May 15, 2018 at 11:34 am

Poch wont wait for the boat to arrive so I expect Joe will fly in soon.

It’s people who care about the club commenting on a major event.

Or would you prefer a blog commending our low net spend? With a bit of luck that prick Real Fan is going to launch his own platform, as I advised him to do about a year ago.

Us flat earthers wait for an event to actually happen before we all start running around chasing our tails, I’m still chuffed with third place from a season where treading water was the only objective.

        • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:50 am

I’d try following current affairs mate.

The manager doesn’t share your desperate outlook, thank Christ.

  • Bruxie May 15, 2018 at 11:29 am

Selling all the season tickets this year is a short term success for Enic.

Short term successes are notoriously “short term”.

2019/20 season ticket sales at the current prices will be determined by what happens in the talks this week.

On the pitch requirements are obvious and fall within Poch’s domain and their implementation, or not, will also affect future ST sales.

Off the pitch, Levy has to improve some fundamental weaknesses in his business plan. Marketing needs an upgrade…we should be working toward a world wide profile with world class publicists and marketing gurus. We employ Enic people.

The stadium needs a sponsor…and a name recognised the world over. The usual suspects will look to this week as a prime consideration. Poch needs to be on board to help attract premium sponsorship.

Improving the “off the pitch” performance will increase the income dramatically and will appease Enic’s greed and increase the value of the club. So they can again make a profit if we are put up for sale.

Lewis, according to the Sunday Times Rich list lost almost the price of the new stadium from his portfolio in 12 months but still has the wherewithal to pump say £200m pitch side. He does however have family to whom he will leave his money. “No pockets in shrouds” doesn’t apply to him.

It’s all obvious. But considering the obvious is at best optimistic and at worst heart breaking.

The transfer window closes before the season starts. Poch wants early deals. The World Cup will be a coitus interuptus to new contract discussions and transfers out.
Time to use the Masters & Johnson method.

    Around Levy’s neck.

    • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:36 am

      Heartbreaking is about right.

You get the sense that Joe and Daniel are preparing a defence against spending.

That conversation is going to be a brief one.

  • Coogy May 15, 2018 at 11:21 am

How about this: If Conte leaves Chelsea and Poch replaces him, how would everyone feel if Conte took over for us?

    • Yippers May 15, 2018 at 11:25 am

Crap! He’s a smelly little skunk

      • Gus May 15, 2018 at 11:36 am

He needs money to buy success. Isn’t that why he’s leaving chelski? He feels they aren’t supporting him?

        • Coogy May 15, 2018 at 11:49 am

Agreed. He has the air of a decent manager about him but that’s because, like Mourinho, he’ll only ever be at clubs where he doesn’t have to get his hands too dirty.

  • Yippers May 15, 2018 at 11:15 am

My problem is why didnt that pussy poch do this two years ago! He’s a coward!!

    • Gus May 15, 2018 at 11:17 am

He almost won the title three seasons ago under the current arrangement. Perhaps he came to the realisation that we need more funding if the team is going to be a serious trophy threat

    • James147 May 15, 2018 at 11:18 am

I suspect it’s because he wasn’t in as strong a position. He knows for sure that he’s a sought-after manager now. Maybe he’s even had concrete talks/offers. He’s certainly now talking with the confidence of a man who feels he’ll be ok whichever way this turns out.

      • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:21 am

Never seen him so relaxed in a presser.

A man at the top of his game.

        • James147 May 15, 2018 at 11:24 am

Very much so Brian (Copyright Ron Atkinson). And he’s looked proper tense the last couple of months in my opinion so I think this has been coming, the frustration has been building. Well done Poch, we’re all with you.

        • Gus May 15, 2018 at 11:38 am

Poch can walk into most good jobs at the moment. And he knows it

    • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:19 am

Maybe because he knew he had to weather all the stupidities and deliver CL footy to be taken seriously?

      • Yippers May 15, 2018 at 11:24 am

But this is our third year in a row. I think poch will be put back in his box and everything will go back as normal! He was clearly afraid of what he was saying when he was saying it!

Look I’d love for levy to bend over and give him what he wants! But i think it’s all hot air from poch!

    • Elevenstonedidiots May 15, 2018 at 11:21 am

The City games were a hard dose of reality . They hammered us over the 2 games this season. They have set the bar. We are miles off them and I suspect Poch knows it.

  • Gus May 15, 2018 at 11:14 am

As this off-season plays out we will know if we will look to finally break our cycle of failure or if the hamster wheel turns once again

  • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:10 am

    gloster1861

    Crisis? What crisis?

Famous words attributed to Prime Minister James Callaghan on a flight back to the UK during the Winter of Discontent.

Is Levy also going to deal with discontent by sticking his head in the sand and hoping it all goes away? Because if he’s not vigilant, it will all go away. Manager, players, CL qualification next season. It could all blow away into dust.

Still, he’d extract a lot of money from selling star players to help pay off the stadium debt, then any sale of new place would be all profit in the pocket for the Bald Avenger and Captain Pugwash.

And then off he would toddle, to look for another football ‘project’.

Let us hope that Levy provides Poch with the support he needs rather than the constant carping and undermining evident in some blogs this season. Fingers crossed for a decent summer.

    Fuck off, you child.

Poch has called Levy out and it’s my fault.

    Enjoy Spurs Odious.

    • Caveman May 15, 2018 at 11:11 am

Yeah Harry, its all your fault. Winding up Poch to giving an ultimatum to the millionaires. Shame on you.

      • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:14 am

It’s not entirely my fault, you see I made this pact with the devil, see…

  • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:04 am

No surprise that the Flat Earthers have flounced off.

I was right, or at very worst, Pochettino is also wrong.

This feels like a draining of a swamp is underway.

It’s great to have been painted as the bad guy for so long, then to have been entirely vindicated and shown to be the very seat of commons sense.

My guess is that the dullest correspondents are busy inventing reason why Poch should be sectioned and I should be assassinated.

The prissy pseudo-liberal have been issued with KICK ME signs, the sun is shining and Joe Lewis is packing his extra fine ermine underpants in preparation of his trip over here to plead poverty.

    We are fucked

First reported by the Telegraph, but the article’s behind a paywall.

      Cheers Ronan

    • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:05 am

      This is hilarious.

Lewis is going to try and pay Pochettino off like a noisy hooker?

These ENIC boys drip with class, eh?

      • Ronan May 15, 2018 at 11:13 am

Must think he’s still dealing with ‘Arry, who’d have trousered it in a heartbeat and business would have gone on as usual.

        • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:16 am

Army would have demanded it was in used 20s and in tesco bags for life

          • Ronan May 15, 2018 at 11:18 am

            Fackin luvly

            • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:20 am

Ang on, I’ll open the boot, son.

  • Caveman May 15, 2018 at 10:53 am

Levy knows the score, don’t mess with a successful set-up and risk a rebellion because if he doesn’t give Poch some support and top players leave its the new house of cards collapsing around his ears. Levys too smart to let that happen.

  • Ronan May 15, 2018 at 10:52 am

The syndicate must be badly rattled if the organ grinder himself is flying in. Clearly the monkey isn’t trusted to deal with stuff that threatens the entire racket.

    • Caveman May 15, 2018 at 10:54 am

Where are getting your information Ronan. Link?

  • Mad Carew May 15, 2018 at 10:28 am

Once Eriksen says enough is enough the whole project falls apart and the Writing is on the Wall !

  • Sid Trotter May 15, 2018 at 10:27 am

If Poch goes then I’m sure we’d get in an okay manager who will want 4 or 5 years to build something, be given a 70m kitty and told to do what he must. It’s kind of pathetic, we are on the verge of something (yes, yet again – but genuinely this time). Poch has to be supported all the way. If he is not, then Levy needs to bow out (some chance). Can you imagine any serious manager wanting to follow on from Poch and what he has achieved and under the conditions he’s been subjected to. Makes me want to go on a cheese strike

  • VincentianMagic May 15, 2018 at 10:26 am

Sad to think that the positive roll we have been on the past few years may be grinding to a halt.

I really hope common sense is applied to all of this. Poch has to be retained as his departure will cause a catalyst whereby several players move on. It has been clear to all that something stinky has been going on behind the scenes; and now it’s coming out.

ENIC need to loosen the purse strings a little, back the best manager/team we have had in a long while and seize the moment.

If not I guess I’ll be spending even more hours following RL and RU next season.

  • Jim May 15, 2018 at 10:18 am

Can’t see what the problem is. Either Levy coughs up and backs Poch or we turn into Newcastle. Big stadium and a chairman who is only in it to line his pockets.

    • Harry Hotspur May 15, 2018 at 11:16 am

      BLUE N WHITE BARCODEY ARMY!

    • harry trad May 15, 2018 at 11:18 am

Time for Spurs to come of age. Stop hanging around like eager groupies and own the party: get in on winning things. Spend money, get over the various lines we fall down on (Man U, and the Old Lady etc) Pay Toby, bring in some genuine class or capitulate just when it is all within reach.

PS don’t forget about filling the stadium on match days
