‘It’s now seven points, it’s completely different to 10,’ he said.

‘But there’s still a lot of work to do. It’s not dependent on us; it’s dependent on if Chelsea fail. But in that moment if they fail we need to do our job.

‘If we do our job we can be there until the end of the season and try to fight for the title. It’s important to keep that mentality and try to win every game that we play.

‘We are at seven points now and it is important to be there if Chelsea fail. We are there fighting for the Premier League, to be as high as possible.’

Comparing our run in with that of the baby eating fascists, you have to say, it’s not completely out of the question.

Poch’s seven points, it’s completely different to 10 line isn’t actually as daft as it sounds dependent upon the opposition.

The Arses. A resurgent Leicester City not to mention the grunting and growling League cup winners Manchester United. West Ham away. What larks.

Oh, and another jaunt to the unhappy hunting ground that is Wembley.

Chelsea have an easier run in.

Whoever wins the semi-final will also cause themselves more hurdles to leap before this season is done.

Can Spurs win the League? Until it’s mathematically impossible of course they can, but I’d stay away from bookmakers and I’d refuse to get involved with any breath holding.

I’d go all out to win the FA cup, the history books don’t record runners up. I’d like some semblance of rationale behind us upgrading The Lane, opposed to some tedious auditor b*ll*cks.
