Burger King Ambassador Backs Spurs To Win The League

Andy Reid said: “Pochettino is doing a fantastic job and if anybody is going to catch Chelsea I would say that would be Tottenham.

“I really hope they can and it’s certainly going to be close. I watched the game at the weekend and they were absolutely fantastic: they just brushed West Brom aside and West Brom are playing well right now.

“They played good attacking Tottenham-like football and that’s what the fans like to see. Harry Kane is on fire and [Mousa] Dembele and [Christian] Eriksen are playing really well while they look tight at the back.

“There is no reason the way Tottenham are playing at the minute that they can’t get a great result and beat them. If they do it’s definitely over for City. You can take them out of the title race completely,” he added.

Our next game against City (to use trusty football parlance) ‘couldn’t have come at worse time’ for them.

Spurs are on a roll under Pochettino, whereas Guardiola is having this recurring dream where he’s waiting at a bus stop with his team and when the bus comes, not only does the bus not stop, but his players pick him up and throw him under it.

The Premier League consists of 38 games and to date we’ve only played 21. However Spurs are looking like they’ll be in the mix.

This absolutely will not be the case if we fail to sustain the success – whilst under increasing pressure.

Our problem is not just the Europa League being ridiculously played at Wembley. Our problem is also the FA Cup. This squad has form for buckling at every attempt to compete in more than one competition.

The January window will inevitably be a dogs dinner.

We’ve come on leaps and bounds, but there’s a hell of a way to go. Virtually half a season, not including the other distractions.
