Just when you think those dense grey clouds are refusing to part, eh?

Well respected Turkish outlet Sabah say that Jack Wilshere was initially on his way to Turkey, but the deal collapsed as his family were less than enamoured with moving to, well… Turkey.

Got any issues with that comment then I suggest discuss them with the HM Government’s Foreign Office.

‘Wheelchair’s no thank you’ has brought two of the most recent and most lousy Tottenham signings to the the top of the Fenerbahçe ‘want’ list.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Moussa Sissoko are the names in the the Turkish frame.

This pair of complete and utter washouts could be gone!

Think of it.

Gone!

On a less upbeat note, the article also says that Spurs aim this window to shop again in the French leagues.

Perhaps this is a reference to that awkward looking N’Dombele clown, or some new clown that we have yet to be introduced to?!

Even Pat Nevin is talking ripe bullshit this morning. He says the Belgian victory over Brazil was the best international performance he has seen for many years.
Is my memory faulty, or didn’t Germany crush Brazil in their home country 7-1 in a breathtakingly dominant perfromance four years ago?

I see we are being linked with the Bordeaux winger Malcolm again. Give me Zaha any day

Anyone who didn’t make their international squad must have a question mark over their head.

It may seem unfair, but that’s as close to an amicable line you’ll seen drawn in the sand anywhere.

Levy is the master of the artful deal. Look at the magnificent 7. Need to fill a round hole? Instead of buying a round peg let’s buy a job lot of square pegs, it’ll almost fit…..

        • Gloster1861 July 10, 2018 at 7:21 am

Occam’s razor. The obvious answer is almost always correct. Is he conducting such secret negotiations that no one has got wind of it? Or is he in fact doing nothing?

The latter is the obvious answer. Plus his form over 18 long years.

          • Gloster1861 July 10, 2018 at 7:27 am

Concerning Grealish, Villa are in financial problems. The longer he can wait, the more likely he can screw a lower price. Therefore if it happens it will be late in the window.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see some signings who can then train with the squad. But I’ve watched Levy every summer and he never fails to disappoint.

Moura’s biggest issue isn’t me however. It’s convincing Poch he’s worth a starting place.

We are born male or female very few are born with both gender parts. This is fact.Just because tattoos & punk ,emo & transvestism doesn’t shock or prevoke anymore a lot of people are searching to be different. The government agreeing with that is one thing but to force us all to pay for it is another

No, I don’t mean tariffs! I mean being qualified to play whereby they have to have international caps. None of our French rubbish had to jump the hurdles that buying a player from outside the EU is subject to. And that’s the problem isn’t it.

Why do we presume that politicians could deal with the eu on brexit. Surely there should be a combination of politicians and the very best business minds this country has. What qualifies politicians to be great negotiators???

    • Cyril July 9, 2018 at 8:43 pm

Well we used to have a very professional and talented civil service that could do it but then Tony Blair replaced them with spin doctors

      • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 8:53 pm

A lot of our talent took jobs in Brussels. They took the lovely money on offer over there, and are a raft of the establishment trying to hold onto the EU. For their fat pensions and also jobs for their children.

    • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 8:43 pm

I suppose they’ve crawled and crept their way up the greasy pole. Some are very devious and sneaky.

      • Andrew July 9, 2018 at 8:54 pm

Successful countries have great politicians . We seem to be running out of quality leaders, even if you don’t agree with all their policies, we did have some.
If we have weak pen pushers as seems the case now, it is bad news for the future of this country.

    • dilly July 9, 2018 at 8:55 pm

Good idea but much too late now for cross party representation which probably would have broken down anyway. That said reflecting on the referendum campaign whilst I voted to exit Europe my biggest gripe is that both protagonists were high on soundbites and low on substance failing to fully educate the electorate of the complexities involved (impact on single market / customs union / transitional arrangements etc) plus requirement of reaching a suitable compromise which was never fully explained to the public = diluted soft brexit not hard Brexit which myself, Joyce and thousands of others voted for.
Ultimately the remainers narrowly lost but in reality never conceded defeat ultimately getting their way ending with Brexit in name only.

      • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 8:57 pm

Hardly unexpected Dilly. Normal elections are fought on slogans and soundbites. No one wants to educate the masses.

        • dilly July 9, 2018 at 8:59 pm

Fair point when ah Disraeli remarked “it was dangerous to educate the masses.”

  • Andrew July 9, 2018 at 8:33 pm

Teresa May ,you would think would have tried to gain support of the population by now by increasing the numbers of police on the streets, try to reduce all the crime and murders (change the law to lock murderers up for the whole of their miserable lives) more nurses and doctors for the nhs etc, giving herself some sort of respectability. She has little support it seems from even her own party. She probably has the hardest pm job since Winston Churchill and she is struggling.
It seems there are very few politicians with charisma (i know most are self serving) and they seem worried about upsetting the liberal elite in this country.

    • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 8:49 pm

Certainly I can’t think of many I’d say are trustworthy and clever.

I like Jeremy Corbyn , I think he wants to do right, but he isn’t that smart and he can clearly become taken in by some unpleasant characters (e.g. the anti semitism row where extreme left wingers sterotype anyone who is Jewish to be a Zionist).

I don’t pretend to understand your politics over there, but as a neutral disinteresed observer, there’s something very “off” with that fella Farage. Vegas giving 5:1 he takes it up the arse from industrial farm machinery while wearing a clown mask and singing “she’ll be comin round the mountain”

      • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 8:23 pm

Nigel Farage is somewhat of a ‘bogie man’.

The right wing see him as a threat because he appeals to their nutter tendency. He won’t win power, but he threatens to take enough votes away to weaken the Conservatives in a lot of constituencies to then lose to the centre left.

Imagine Sarah Palin popping up to run as a Tea Party candidate in order to split Trump’s vote. In order to blackmail Trump into adopting even more crazy policies.

        • Willie! July 10, 2018 at 1:58 am

For months David Davies and his department worked on a Brexit white paper. Then last Friday at Chequers, Davies and others was presented with a plan drawn up in secret in Downing Street, in which he had absolutely no input.

May was wasting everyone’s time, all that time and effort binned. Now some Tory MPs want to see that abandoned white paper published, to compare it with her plan drawn up on the back of a fag packet late at night.

I’m no expert but this sounds precisely as she carried on at the Home Office.

    She’s an idiot.

    • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 7:30 pm

Bit like her ‘hostile environment’ for illegal immigrants? Her definition of illegal including anyone with dark skin whose papers had been destroyed by her own Home Office.

Except she let her successor take the bullet for that one.

      • Harry Hotspur July 9, 2018 at 7:35 pm

She scuttles around drawing up shit policy and when it goes wrong it’s the fault of civil servants ‘with agendas’.

        • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 7:41 pm

        • Andrew July 9, 2018 at 8:12 pm

She is totally useless as an mp let alone prime minister.

    • Accy July 9, 2018 at 6:35 pm

Levy has invested our transfer budget on electricians. He’s been popping to the sperm bank every day to try and replenish the funds but the well is running dry. He’s had to resort to jerking off Sissoko, Aurier, Llorente and Janssen to recoup some of their sell-on fees.

Once Levy has collected a few pints, we can reinvest the proceeds on Grealish. That will conclude our business this summer.

      • Harry Hotspur July 9, 2018 at 6:37 pm

        Grealish.

      • Mikespurs July 9, 2018 at 6:52 pm

Been seeing more & more articles about how amazing he is & the driving force of the English team. Am I missing something? I guess his speed opens up some lanes for other players, & keeping the defensive line honest with the threat of his speed. But that’s all I’ve seen him do & that’s being generous

    • Mad Carew July 9, 2018 at 5:35 pm

I heard some pundit say the same yesterday, just thought what the feck have you been watching mate, couldn’t believe his selfishness, inability to control the ball and running into blind alleys, yet they see him as a threat….yeah like a mugger with a Curly Wurly on a hot day.

      • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? July 9, 2018 at 5:39 pm

  • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 5:01 pm

For months David Davies and his department worked on a Brexit white paper. Then last Friday at Chequers, Davies and others was presented with a plan drawn up in secret in Downing Street, in which he had absolutely no input.

May was wasting everyone’s time, all that time and effort binned. Now some Tory MPs want to see that abandoned white paper published, to compare it with her plan drawn up on the back of a fag packet late at night.

    • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 5:06 pm

Lovely scene with Jeremy whispering sweet nothings into Diane’s ear on an otherwise deserted Labour front bench.

  • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? July 9, 2018 at 4:56 pm

Talksport just had a vote of man of the match V Sweden. Pickford, McGuire, Someone else, maybe Kane and…………Sterling. I’m sorry who?…..Sterling?…..This needs to stop. Why is every pundit constantly defending and trying to justify his selection? What goes on? You also have a manager who won’t drop him for fear of ‘hurting his feelings’, now people are actively altering reality and putting him in a MOTM vote. I’ve never known this bizarre behaviour for any other player. Ever. Who is this kid?? WTF is the reason for this? I heard a City fan tell us all its OUR fault and if Sterling misses a sudden death pen in the final cos his confidence is shot its on us!?! No. That’s on Southgate for relentlessly picking a waste of space and putting him in the line of fire. This is the strangest thing I think I’ve seen in the game, its a mystery why this player is so protected. I want answers.

    • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? July 9, 2018 at 5:02 pm

Durhams at it now. Telling everyone to stop criticising Sterling!?

      • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? July 9, 2018 at 5:06 pm

Apparently he is THE reason England beat Sweden. There has to be money involved in this. Or he’s not from the poor background we’ve been fed with. Its a mystery.

For the life of me i can not understand why the British media are so utterly feckless when it comes to employing any serious journalistic skills regarding Brexit. Across the board they allow politicians from all parties (but particularly labour) talk about their plan for staying in the customs union, the single market and a whole host of other nonsense that is simply NOT ON OFFER from the EU without fully accepting the four fundamental tenets of the EU, which is exactly what was voted against in the referendum. It drives me absolutely nuts!!!

    • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 4:11 pm

There is only one BBC journalist who can squeeze these politicians by the throat, and that is Andrew Neill. He has a great memory and is well briefed and trips them over time and time again! ” But minister, on the tenth of May you said this …. Which is the exact opposite of what you just said. Do you take us for fools?” I’ve heard him pin these slippery buggers down many times.

    • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 2:10 pm

Incredible. Two and a half miles of subterranean passages. I was listening to a British rescuer (not there) with similar experience who pointed out how many pitfalls there are. Lots of things I hadn’t realised. You can’t for instance let them float as inexperienced divers get disorientated instantly in the dark. So they need to be weighted down and walk and crawl on the cave bed, following a rope, for example.

      • gus July 9, 2018 at 2:25 pm

If they manage to get them all out alive it will be a magnificent achievement. It is obviously extremely dangerous, as they’ve already lost an ex-Thai navy SEAL

sorry glos, wilshire would be wonderful at our place if he is fit , forget your prejudices and think about it ; he could play a ball wth his testicles better than sissoko …and he goes forward not sideways or back

      To quote wheelchair:

“What do we think of Tottenham?”

      You know the rest

    • Ronan July 9, 2018 at 11:37 am

Were Wenger, Emery and Southgate prejudiced too?

    • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 11:43 am

      😶😶😶😶

  • Elevenstonedidiots July 9, 2018 at 11:33 am

That’s our Daniel, replacing junk with more junk from the French league and expecting a different result.

  • Steven Hawkins Football Boots July 9, 2018 at 11:27 am

    Good news!

Henderson might he injured for Wednesday

    • Harry Hotspur July 9, 2018 at 11:32 am

Better news – his head was shot off by a rogue Kim Jong Un missile, the scouse fuckwit

    • Elevenstonedidiots July 9, 2018 at 11:33 am

That funny gait of his was going to catch up with him eventually

      • Steven Hawkins Football Boots July 9, 2018 at 11:34 am

He reminds me of a crap T Rex when he runs, walks and shouts

        • Harry Hotspur July 9, 2018 at 11:35 am

With those arms, you could never accuse him of being a wanker. Must get a Korean boy at the weekends to attend to that sort of thing.

          • Steven Hawkins Football Boots July 9, 2018 at 11:37 am

If you see those Nivea adverts him and his team mates get involved with, it wouldn’t surprise you,
Not that there’s anything wrong with that of course.

          • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 11:44 am

            Happy ending boss?

    • Rob July 9, 2018 at 12:05 pm

How is this good news? I’m spurs like us all but hes been infinitely better than dier so far this tournament as pivotal if England want to reach the final

      • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 12:10 pm

You’re basing this on his start against Belgium in a game we wanted to lose?

        • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 12:13 pm

Or maybe a few odd minutes here and there ? Like his mental strength in extra time and Penalties?

  • Steven Hawkins Football Boots July 9, 2018 at 11:26 am

I’d be happy with N’Eymar from the French league

  • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 11:22 am

England will be kitted out in the lilywhite on Wednesday. At least the Spurs players will feel at home. It’ll probably be terminally confusing for Sterling.

  • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 11:17 am

I take it foul Jack W is off to the London Bowl.

Always saw Wilshite and Wet Sham as a perfect marriage of crap and toilet.

    • Ronan July 9, 2018 at 11:30 am

Home fans will have to be issued with high powered binoculars to spot the loveable mite.

      • Harry Hotspur July 9, 2018 at 11:32 am

Carpet Remnant World Telescopes Inc is a subsidiary company.

    • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 11:42 am

      A marriage of convenience!! 😂😂

  • dilly July 9, 2018 at 10:54 am

Reshaping his side Arses Emery is wrapping up a couple of deals namely Uruguays Tolleira and 1 other.

    • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 11:06 am

Dilly, can you see why you get labelled a closet Gooner? Can you see it?

      • Hartley July 9, 2018 at 11:37 am

        Closet goner?

      • dilly July 9, 2018 at 11:45 am

As Poxy will concur I am no closet Gooner when despite Hartley’s repeated obsession otherwise never was never will be but it’s interesting to see how Emery is going about his biz.

        • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 11:47 am

Appears to be opening a rest home. It’s all good.

  • Tony July 9, 2018 at 10:45 am

The only problem is Levy will probably want £40m for each of them! I’m afraid pride and a refusal to admit to a total cock up over these players (and a few others) will probably mean that, seriously, they will be priced unrealistically!

    • Gloster1861 July 9, 2018 at 11:07 am

Damn. I was hoping Levy would offer a ‘buy one be forced to have another’ deal.

      • Harry Hotspur July 9, 2018 at 11:08 am

        Buy one get one.

  • Gus July 9, 2018 at 10:43 am

    Where’s the good news?

    • Harry Hotspur July 9, 2018 at 10:52 am

      Hahahahah
