Blessed Are The Banjaxed

As West Ham’s Cup Final looms…

Hammers boss Bilic says that his lot are feeling the prematch fever:

“It is a special game. I know it’s a cliche, but there are some games that are more special for the fans. That’s why they are derbies and this one is one of them. Some are saying it is like the game of the season for West Ham.

I wouldn’t call it that, but it is special and we are looking forward to it. You can feel it in the camp these last few days. It is like we are waiting for a big game.”

This season’s manager of Tottingham Hotspur Football Club has revealed – at last what his philosophy is.

Which is pretty sweet of him, but when I’d imagine when next we serve up a game with no discernible logic to it, ‘Where the hell is the philosophy in that?!’ will still be echoed about the Internet.

“We feel very proud but it is not our or my secret. Our philosophy is not about one person, it is about the team and the club.

The player deserve first credit because it is always up to them to take the tools we provide. We need to congratulate first the player and then all the staff and also the president. He believes in this project and he turned the club in this way one and a half years ago.”

So what we’re looking at there is some sort of holistic collectivism – which might well explain why Andros Townsend has not only struggled to get a game, but managed to get himself publicly shunned from first team activities in the process.

West Ham have not lost on their last three visits to Tottenham.

However the absence of Payet could prove crucial in reversing that trend.

Here’s Payet’s Squawka chart.

Blessed are the banjaxed.
