Tony Pulis’ right-hand man Dave Kemp has just announced that West Bromwich Albion Football Club have Saido Berahino in their squad for the Baggies’ clash tomorrow night against Swansea City.

Berahino left training earlier today, which sparked a predictable tidal wave of unfounded optimism, but Kemp assured the press that the 22 year old was still suffering from a ‘dead leg’, and the player leaving early was a routine precaution.

“It was awkward today because he’s got a dead leg he picked up on Saturday. He came out, it was a bit sore, he had treatment and he’s gone home and obviously with the media round it’s the best thing to do.”

When asked how the player’s attitude was, Kemp pointed out the Berahino scored twice against Peterborough in the FA Cup on Saturday.

“He’s still here, hes been in this morning and he’s got a bit of a knock so well have to check that, but other than that he’s in the squad for tomorrow’s game.”

The most boggle-eyed of flat earther Levy apologists will be wheeling out the usual ‘smokescreen’ tosh.

Given that Newcastle United appear to have made a credible offer (opposed to the 50p and half a pound grapes nonsense THFC offered to Jeremy Peace) and they reportedly haven’t even been extended the courtesy of a reply, the idea that Saido Berahino will being seen holding up a Spurs shirt tonight looks laughable.

Bullet dodged, but a meagre crumb of comfort given that we steadfastly remain …a Kane injury away from crisis.
