Good morning where you are and here’s an interesting statistic to ponder as your cornflakes wilt. Harry Kane has scored against 23 of the 25 clubs he has faced in the Premier League but is yet to score in six appearances against today’s visitors, Manchester United.

However!

Jose will be mindful of the fact that he hasn’t won a league game at White Hart Lane since 2005 which I would suggest in hoodoo voodoo terms is a far bigger deal.

United have had another muddled season however their staunchest supporters will tell you that everything is in hand and they are set to win the Europa League and so spring Champions League football that way. It all sounds rather too neat to me and United will do nothing other than play their strongest XI today.

For us it is the end of an era and finally after far too much talk the old girl will be handed to the demolition mob.

I think it’s important here to take a moment and acknowledge that the New Destination™ doesn’t have to be perfect because the current one was never perfect either.

Yes, win lose or draw, there will be liberal piss taking of the Cheese Room et al, but the core issue is that we build a team that is worth a damn, opposed to just the odd mention in dispatches.

I’d have built a team that won stuff first, because you should always undertake the complicated jobs first.  You get your hands on your Ferrari before you pour your heart and soul into building the garage of all garages. Rumour has it that the raindrops simply trickle off them.

We are where we are and given the seismic change mess that is ahead of us with Wembley I’m unconvinced that this game has any greater significance other than to cement a second place finish.

We can’t win anything and I’ve always been rather dubious about ‘playing for pride’; this being something invented by losers so that they feel they achieved more than just er… losing.

This Bonzo business is niggling at me when it comes to making a prediction. It irritates the bejesus out of me that there would be such utterly pointless, valueless conflict within the camp when we’ve had such a comparatively good season. Players are as temperamental as racehorses and no good will come of it.

My head says 1-1.
